What is the most valuable thing in the world? What offers us the securest of futures?

For me, the most valuable thing is not gold, or silver, or diamonds, or a survival shelter. The most valuable thing is a good parent. Children are our future, and our security. A good parent gives their child two things besides safety and sustenance – the permission to be themselves, and unconditional love.

This is our future.

....... although if it had to be a "thing" then it would be the land, love doesn't fill a hungry tummy. The land gives us all we need and if we treated it properly we could all have plenty of food to go round.

LIFE to me is the most valuable thing in the world now that I am here in this tiny speck of dust called earth...and all that it entails: Connection to the cosmos, connection to one another, connection to my love ones, connection to the creator... and of course the experience of being here. All these things if thrown in a bag would be labeled LOVE.

I agree with all items previously mentioned, most definitely.

To the list I would add I would add Time, for no amount of riches is able to buy back a single minute.

As this valuable thread progresses, we will see a collection of the things that really matter. Wonderful thread, Music...

...aah, music, that could be another one?

as i read the title of your thread, my answer was immediately my son. Which i guess boils down to what others have written - to love and be loved unconditionally.

A pure heart.

I wish I had the time - and the eloquence - right now to explain it in detail, but I don't.
Let me just assure you, I don't mean this as a some sort of topos.

Positive energy :o
All feelings and thoughts, actions and reactions, mass and matter, all is made up of energy. To harness this energy is up to one's self and how it will be harnessed and used.

I don't know for sure if personal integrity is the most valuable thing in the world but I think so as it seems to be the most scarce :)

I think everything mentioned above is all most valuable. I cannot think of one word to embrace it all...yet I feel that all who posted and mentioned their expression of it, have embraced it all.

Great question! The MOST valuable "things" to me aren't things really ... relationships ... beginning with one's own relationship with him/herself. Shakespear had it right, "To thine own self be true".
As an "old" nurse ... I've never known an individual who, upon reflecting and examining their personal life history, ever said, "I wish I'd bought more this or that", or "I wish I'd spent more time at work or cleaning my house", etc. No, I learned early from my elderly patients that relationships with family, friends, coworkers, etc. is THE most important "thing".
That lesson has had a profound effect on my life. Thanks for letting me share the wisdom of my many teachers!

right now most valuable thing is Awakening & Aware see the reality and the truth what's really going on current world nothing but Self To Serve society, seeing people work 9-5 fighting and living to survival to benefits group of individuals just frustrating. Once everyone Awake and Aware known the truth and take the power back to the people then we work on society that is Serve to Others. if you follow contactee like Alex Collier or Bob Dean knows what's their Serve to Others society is like, their system might not right for us but it's Unconditional Love society of Serve to-Others...if you think this only fantasy on planet earth then you still fall asleep, this will not happen overnight but happen over many generations once we working on it.

From the perspective of the aliens currently intervening in our world, the most precious resource we have are the biological life-giving resources of this world. Many technological societies have outstripped their world's ability to produce such things, so they must trade for them at great expense. Such products are used for medicines, cloning purposes, and the biological rehabilitation of their planets. It is an extremely valuable commodity in the universe of mostly stark and barren worlds. We are fortunate to live on such a biologically lush planet - this planet is not unique, but such places are quite rare. We live on what is considered to be a jewel in this part of the universe... and yet we are wasting it away through rapid environmental degradation.

There are many reasons why alien forces are currently intervening in human affairs, but the destruction of our environment is the main one. The ethics of this region of space allows for the native population of worlds such as this to be displaced should they threaten the environment, which is considered a collective good, though we are respected as stewards. Or at least we would be if we actually chose to protect this highly valuable environment and biological diversity which is so rare and took billions of years to develop.

finally there!!!

most people are saying love. and most of the other responses....well they are just bi-products/distortions of love.

love comes in many flavors. but being able to see them all.....well that is something special :)

If you mean World as in Earth then I would say my human vehicle because without it I wouldn't be here (at this consciousness level) on this planet to experience this illusion. Every experience is of great value as it allows me to remember who I truly are and that is LOVE, a pure essence!! That being said I am off to dialogue with this organic abode of mine.

Not to be too technical here, I believe love is the most important thing we can give. However there would be practically ne no life in this dimension without gravity. Everything would be floating lifelessly through the freezing depths of space. I use gravity as an argument of there being a creator.

Life.
No more, no less.
Our planet is habitable.
We take that for granted and bandy about emotions, which have their place too, but would mean nothing if no birth to life could take place. :)

Love, life, land, compassion, cooperation, time, music, light, abundance, unconditional love, cats (), the self, ones child, a pure heart, common sense, positive energy, integrity, all, peace, relationships, alien tech, the collective mind, awakening, awareness, trust, mother earth, good health, kindness, faith, feelings, colour, warmth, knowledge, wisdom, lessons from adversity, gratitude, pugs ( again), human body, Love, Love, and more Love.

Thank you for some great answers, and it is a pleasure and honour to be in the company of such an aware and loving group.

Originally I meant "thing" as in a physically concrete "object", but I am happy with the way the thread developed. For me, the purpose was twofold - to highlight the special place that children hold, and our responsibilities as parents not to make the same mistakes our parents did; and to give all here the chance to express the thoughts of their heart.

Thank you.

Love

i don't agree with 'love'..love is an emotion we love at times and at times we don't..and if you say you love all the time your disillusional .Id say TIME...we as humans have limited time,,and what we make of it is most important..not a feeling like love. love comes and goes and depends on moods and interaction

I think that's why it's important to not view love simply as an emotional aspect, it is easy to express and explain sadness or anger. But love does not hold one definition, like a tree it spreads it's branches and becomes something unique and otherworldly. :)

I have heard LOVE been given several definitions:
Love is an action word...
Love is a decision...
Love is a commitment...

etc.

so love can mean many different things to many different people...
