The endgame of this post is a good belly laugh.
Below is a video.
I present it not to make a case for the reality of the "Strange Sounds" phenomena.
Of course it's real - the phenomena that is.
People are hearing weird sh*t - worldwide.
What I rather want to celebrate here is a dude who is everyman and all of us,
standing at the dark edge of the mind as it wrestles with the Unknown,
a cognitive precipice.
The Question and the wrestling with doubt and disbelief.
I'll set the scene...
Some Aussie dude has been hearing weird noises all night.
He's probably home alone, maybe having gone to bed a short while ago.
His mind has been burning and his heart's a little racy.
He finally decides to grab his camera, to furnish proof to his own disbelief,
as much as reassure himself by trying to show the phenomena to an Other.
Throughout the whole 2 min video a rhythmic breathing, "snoring"
weird sort of a sound can be heard in the background.
Ok, I dunno if the camera's picking this up, but, this has been happening ALL night.
Hear that?
I swear to god the SKY is SNORING.
Camera can't pick anything up, it's TOO dark.
So, HEAR THAT? Just listen.
What the F*CK is that? (you can hear his frustration at not understanding the phenomena)
Seriously what the F*CK is that? (you can hear his fear and bewilderment)
It's like 3.45 in the morning!
And the sky has been, its like it's snoring, or.... (his mind wanders from his only concept so far - snoring - to the unknown...)
I don't know what the f*ck that is. (anger, despair, sorrow, fear of loss, pain)
Then he just falls into a silence,
the picture becomes still,
as if he has slumped down on the edge of the bed to wonder/terror.
It cracks me up completely!
Each of us alone in the dark room of our minds.
It's honest, raw and "nothing special" :)
