"Why is there no mention of Ron Paul??? He is the most intelligent candidate out there, and very honest at that. I'm surprised he's getting no attention. I lean towards the liberal side, but I'm still voting for him because he's the best option we have by a long shot.

I feel like PTB know perfectly well how transparent this farce is, and want to not only have their choice of monkeys for the organ grinder in November, they want thinking people to understand just how isolated reasoning is in America.

How long was Bush kept in office? Who was the GOP successor? How in the hell could that have happened?

You think there's this whole big underground where liberty can hide out and make big plans for the future? Think again.

That's an extremely big and confused and nervous and impressionable herd of sheep.

I've come to the conclusion that stupid barely begins to describe US politicians. The commentators point of why are these people even part of the political discourse is spot on. The reality is that TPTW simply grab some attractive looking people from their grab bag of stooges, throws them up on the TV screen to see what sh*t sticks. The ones that stick then become our choices for president. There is no need in the current system for them to be intelligent because they are only the face puppets and the real thinking and decision making is above the president's pay grade.

I've been a manager responsible for hiring and firing since I was 17. When I have a position to fill I question the applicants on pertinent issues and select from the best in that pool. In an intelligent society we would test our candidates on foreign policy, economics, etc., and select our candidates from the most qualified, as any good manager would do when filling any open position.

Socrates, the greatest philosopher in history, lived in Greece at a time when the concepts of democracy and republics were being formed. He was highly critical of a democracy because any candidate elected was necessarily chosen because of his popularity, which has nothing to do with competence to lead. Furthermore he claimed, most of the voting public itself is too stupid to make an informed and intelligent decision regarding a leader. Generally speaking, 20% of the population will make a totally random choice, 60% of the population will choose whoever their friends like, leaving 20% of the population who research the issues and candidates and make an intelligent and informed choice. So essentially you have a population incapable of making an intelligent choice, choosing from candidates with no real qualifications to lead.

Pretty much describes the US presidential election farce.
