This could be big!!!

The International Geodynamic Monitoring System, a part of GNFE (London, UK), has registered on November 15, 2011 a powerful energy release emanating from the Earth’s core. The intense three-dimensional gravitational anomaly was almost simultaneously recorded by all ATROPATENA geophysical stations separated by vast distances from each other in the following cities: Istanbul (Turkey), Kiev (Ukraine), Baku (Azerbaijan), Islamabad (Pakistan) and Yogyakarta (Indonesia). According to GNFE President Professor Elchin Khalilov, the detailed analysis of ATROPATENA station records indicates a powerful energy release emanating from the Earth’s core. According to the scientist, this fact may herald intensification of geodynamic processes in our planet and as a result, a higher number of strong earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and tsunamis.

There is undeniable seismic and volcanic activity occurring around the planet but this has been going on for a lot longer than the time this 3d gravitational anomaly was recorded. Any more information out there on their success rate in predicting epicentres for seismic events with this technolgy?

Any updates? Is it still going on? This was a while ago. Think I'll do a search ...it's been relatively quiet, lately ...

Not quiet at all according to this guy~

Dutch is on point as always. But I do see what you're talking about.

From the USGS website:

According to long-term records (since about 1900), we expect about 17 major earthquakes (7.0 - 7.9) and one great earthquake (8.0 or above) in any given year.

Most of these quakes are around 3-5, but it will be interesting to see if we have many larger ones as the year progresses. Thanks for the topic!

The sad bit is when I googled "ATROPATENA CRYSTAL Kh11 earthquake forecasting station" I only got 79 hits results and all of them for seemingly quite solid and science oriented web sites. Thank you HORIZONS for posting this link. I am shocked that this information is not more mainstream.

Thanks!

I just recently noticed the work of Marvin Herndon, who seems to be doing excellent work figuring out the composition and evolution of the earth's core.

Herndon suggests that the inner planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars started out as gas giants. Earth would have been Jupiter sized. The heavy metals, such as iron and uranium, would have sunk to the center. Then he suggests that the sun, in a T-Tauri phase (http://encyclopedia.farlex.com/T+Tauri+phase), blow off most of the lighter elements from the inner planets, leaving their rocky and metallic cores. He further suggests that the uranium at the very center of the earth is undergoing nuclear fission, providing the heat we see in volcanoes. Once the immense Jupiter like weight of lighter elements was blown away, the earth expanded, leading to the present day situation where the older continents fit like a jigsaw on a sphere 60% of the size of the present earth.

Herndon's website is at http://www.understandearth.com/, and perhaps the more complete, recent, and readable paper on that site is Inseparability of Science History and Discovery (pdf) (http://www.understandearth.com/hgss-1-25-2010.pdf)

Mind you, I don't understand just how Herndon's work explains or fits in with this ATROPATENA report, but at least a good understanding of the earth's core and evolution might be useful background for considering this ATROPATENA report.

From http://arknow.net/site/202/f/173, regarding the ATROPATENA network:
We have taken a very bold step, that is, have openly provided forecasts for the areas where strong earthquakes are expected, for the public, realizing that the increase in the number and intensity of powerful earthquakes has entered a new phase. The peak of seismic and volcanic activity expected for 2013-2014 is not far off and people must prepare for it by themselves. They will need to orient themselves well so as not to be taken aback when caught in a natural disaster.

This has to be the most helpful and informative post today. The thanks button was not enough.

Thanks for bringing this up Paul - as I find statements like this of great import and worthy of further discussion and research.

Theory!

The planet is actualy a living being.

Its alive, it eats energy (from our sun?) and grow's.

As more... earth? is created, it pushes outwards, causing the plates to move and creating more surface area on the planet.
