Rock-a-bye baby, on the treetops,
When the wind blows, the cradle will rock,
When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall,
And down will come baby, cradle and all.

The meaning of this Nursery Rhyme/Lullaby is definately an open book...

Who are any of us to say what it actually means..?

Of course its open for many interpretations...

What's yours..?

The native Americans used to hang the baby in a basket on the tree branches and the wind used to rock the baby to sleep.
