This could be an interesting turn of events...we can pray!

Bradley Manning, the US soldier accused of passing secret materials to Wikileaks, has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
The nomination was proposed by The Movement of Icelandic Parliament, which asserts that revelations produced by the documents Manning allegedly exposed “have helped to fuel a worldwide discussion about America’s overseas engagements, civilian war casualties, imperialistic manipulations, and rules of engagement.”
RT spoke to one of the members of The Movement, MP Birgitta Jonsdottir.
She said the group “wanted to raise awareness about the situation with Private Bradley Manning, whom way too few people know of.”
“It is extremely important that we honor the whistleblowers of our world,” she said, so people will not be silenced from performing their civic duty “by reporting on crimes, be it corporate, state or military.”
Jonsdottir believes Manning has as much chance to win the prize as any other nominee.
But, Icelandic MP said, the decision on a Nobel Peace Prize is a very politicized matter, “because peace – just like war – is a very political issue.”
Manning was arrested in May 2010 on suspicion of having passed classified materials to WikiLeaks. After a pretrial hearing concluded last month, it was announced that the case would be tried in a military court.
Manning faces 22 charges of violating the military code, from theft of records to aiding the enemy.
If found guilty, he could face life in prison or execution. The soldier has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Clark Stoeckley, an artist who has dedicated much of his work to the Manning case, believes that “he will probably be one of the highest vote-getters for this Nobel Peace Prize,” and he hopes Manning wins.
Stoeckley also believes winning the prize will dramatically improve Manning’s situation, because “it will be hard to keep him in prison after winning prize like that.”

I hope he wins it and gets released, too.You have to admire him because he followed his conscience. Not much of that going on in the US govt...

This guy is the first person in a very long time who deserves the nobel peace prize. He is an exceptional human and we can all learn from him.

Lets just give Bill Gates & Mark Z. a peace prize shall we?

what other propped up stooges of propiganda can we rain money and prizes on?

how is WIKI LEAKS anything but a propiganda outlet ? & how is this kid anything but it's poster boy (a long with J. Assange) sure he may be an unwitting posterboy but the effect of giving him this award would be to strengthen "wiki-leaks" which is a complete joke....

but then, that's my opinion.......

did anyone read the documents released? they basicaly justified the war & showed we needed MORE TROOPS?@!?!?!?!?

the few little snafu's that were (probably intentonally) released are a joke compared to the reality... this is like calling a model rocket a space vehicle... "wiki leaks"... ha!

First off, discrediting WikiLeaks was necessary for damage control. Make them look like something less noble and then the sheep will take it from there. From things I've seen on WikiLeaks, I'd say these things were needed to be exposed. How about how the 10,000 pictures of some US soldiers acting unbecoming of an American citizen toward innocent people?

It's not propoganda when they're exposing the Misdeeds of the cabal. To begin with was anyone aware of these things going on? Would anyone have supported any of these "wars" if they'd known the truth about how they were started? Btw more information is coming out everyday without WikiLeaks....So the truth will not be hidden anymore....
As long as there are moral people willing to put themselves on the line to get the truth out, I'd say they're heroes.

Those released documents didn't prove that we needed more troops anywhere. It showed that these sovereign countries were illegally attacked and they defended themselves. How dare they defend themselves, right? They cannot be blamed for that. The bullies provoked a response, using that to justify their reason for attack. Can anyone remember a time in their lives when a bully did such a thing to them and then got blamed for getting mad? Plain and simple, these are people in that kind of situation. No, our Lame Stream Medias and corporation wannabe-govt are NOT going to tell the truth about any of it. What else do you call it when murders are planned in detail and executed? PREMEDITATED MURDER.

Doesn't the US have so much already? I, personally don't want ill-gotten gains. I don't want these people's oil, especially not the way it's being taken. But I'm willing to have the suppressed free energy technologies that TPTW have to move forward.

More troops is what's NOT NEEDED. TPTW need to be taken out of power, their wealth stripped and given back to those it was stolen from in the first place.. What's needed more are compassionate, honest leaders who care about humanity as a whole, the planet and it's resources. Not these bozos of the NWO. TPTW respect no one and therefore don't deserve respect either...
I believe that people like Manning and Assange will be instrumental inmotivating more people into getting the good changes going for a united world. Many people are against the NWO crap. So cabal may as well give it up....and go away.
