Worse than Goebbels: British Lies Exposed in Arab League Monitors Report on Syria

February 7, 2012 • 8:11AM

The French journalist killed in Syria was "killed by opposition mortar shells;" the opposition carried out "the bombing of a civilian bus, killing eight persons and injuring others, including women and children;" and there is an "armed entity" in the opposition that kills civilians and provokes the Syrian government to respond with violence. These are direct findings from "Report of the Head of the League of Arab States Observer Mission to Syria for the period from 24 December 2011 to 18 January 2012," which was delivered to the Arab League leadership around January 20, but withheld from the UN Security Council in the debate over the resolution to overthrow Bashar al-Assad that was vetoed by Russia and China.

The latest body count reports in Syria are British-created lies and exaggeration, coming right out of London through the Syrian Observatory on Human Rights—a British monarchy/Bush-Cheney-Obama creation. Syrian envoy to the UN, Amb. Bashar Ja'afari confronted the Arab League and the members of the Security Council last week in the run up to the Feb. 4 vote on the anti-Syria resolution about why they have not been given this report, but the British propaganda and media coverup continues.

Three areas from the brief report which can be found at http://www.innercitypress.com/LASomSyria.pdf, expose the intense level of the British and Obama lies. Quotes follow:

* "In Homs and Deraa, the Mission observed armed groups committing acts of violence against Government forces, resulting in death and injury among their ranks.... some of the armed groups were using flares and armour-piercing projectiles."

* "the Observer Mission witnessed acts of violence being committed against Government forces and civilians that resulted in several deaths and injuries. Examples of those acts include the bombing of a civilian bus, killing eight persons and injuring others, including women and children, and the bombing of a train carrying diesel oil. In another incident in Homs, a police bus was blown up, killing two police officers. A fuel pipeline and some small bridges were also bombed."

* "It should be noted that Mission reports from Homs indicate that the French journalist was killed by opposition mortar shells," despite counter-accusations that the government killed the reporter. The Syria government is conducting an investigation, the report says.

* It is a lie that foreign reporters are barred from Syria; the report lists over 107 foreign journalists and news agencies that have been operating in Syria for months.

I sure wish we could all just get along, Sunni vs Aloite/shiite vs Jew vs Palestinian vs west vs east....goes on and on. It seems evident that these differences are shallow and this is a cover for control over territory/resources/power/domination over our planet. It sure will be nice for humans to evolve to a point where we can see past these ideologies. I found this story reported by Amy Goodman of Democracy Now, she includes part of an Assad interview from 2 months ago as well as emails leaked by the group Anonymous from the Assad regime. This story starts at 25:38

No matter who says what, the Syrian leader is coming down like the others did. That kind of so colled "goverment" is fading away from the face of Earth.

Sure wish the US, UK and Israel would evolve into something better than what they are. They refuse to leave other countries alone. They lust over what others have and commit PREMEDITATED MURDER against them. I agree with you, scarletfire, but as long as the bullies are on this bloodlust, no one will be safe. The bullies need to be brought to justice by the other countries.
