View Full Version : Haiti: Where Did the Money Go?

"In January 2010, a 7.0 earthquake devastated Haiti. The international community, including one out of two Americans, pledged billions of dollars in aid, yet the nation has seen little improvement. Three hundred thousand died, nearly two million live in ramshackle tent cities. Cholera has swept through the population, killing thousands and hospitalizing many others. Only about 2% of the rubble has been cleared.
Is this what you expected when you pledged your aid dollars? Independent journalists Film@11.tv journeyed to Haiti in November 2010 to see the situation for themselves, and dig into the burning question: what happened to all that money?"

Thanks for the videos KT. Of course all this does not come as a surprise to any of us Avalonians. In fact I would have been surprised if something of benefit would have been done for the Haitian people with all that money. These videos will serve their purpose of helping us to wake up some of our still slumbering friends and family.

After 911, I refused to donate to any causes. If I can help with time or abilities, that's what I'll do. But money has never gotten to where it had to go. You can say that about most charitable organizations. Afterall, they have to pay their volunteers/workers first. By the time that's done, very little is left for the actual recipients....
But I still feel compassion for our suffering fellow beings....

Time and time again this happens its a discrace.
Billions raised and only so much gets through.Furthermore, only 63.6 percent of the money pledged for 2010 has been disbursed, according to the U.N special envoy for Haiti. The Haiti money train tends to take two different tracks. There is the money that was raised and donated shortly after the earthquake. That money has been spent on emergency relief efforts. And then there are billions pledged by foreign nations, most of which may not now be disbursed after all, according to many officials with knowledge of the process

If you guys check out the two most recent White Hats reports, they talk about and explicitly tell where all the money went for Hati, Katrina, and several other humanitarian projects. It went into Mitt Romney, Bill Clinton and The Bush's Off Shore Accounts.

The money as usual was diverted into the bank accounts of our poor quality human beings. Inhabiting politics, local government and mega charities. Google ""Medicins sans Frontiers Haiti"... and see what great work they are doing.....Opened Drouillard hospital 208 bed facilityin May 2011.... April 2011 opened an 130 bed referral centre in Port au Prince. Has performed 1,432 operations and assisted in the birth of 4,600 new lives. etc. etc...If they are well then they can build their own future. Most of the Charities went home after the photo shoots. Israel packed up and left after two weeks. Sadness is'nt enough, Put your hand in your pocket and cheer yourselves up.

That's right, DID I forgot about the White Hats Report. That's the main reason why we should suspect any charitable organization because it could be a project created by the likes of them. So much deception and greed going on that it's a shame that our good hearts and generosities are being exploited by people like these. And it's not limited to these sorry examples of humanity.
IMO there are ways to help people directly and make it count....

What IS deplorable is that the Clinton Foundation is behind this, every news station reports this and now with Hurricane Matthew, what do you think these poor poor people are doing? Over 800 died in this last Hurricane. Watch and weep on this more recent youtube.
