does anyone know if the amount of earth quakes that have been happening say in the past year is normal??? is there anywhere to confirm whats a normal amount of activity vs what we have been experiencing.

Sorry if I've missed something here, but I fail to see how/why this video is a "MUST SEE!".
From what I can gather it really only shows us one thing... that there were a lot of earthquakes in 2011!?
Well as far as I'm concerned that really isn't "Earth-shattering" information (excuse the pun ;)).
As we all know there are a lot of earthquakes EVERY year!
While I agree that the video is "cool", its content doesn't seem to be telling us anything that we didn't already know.
As it does not incorporate any comparative data from previous years it really doesn't tell us much at all actually.
These are just my initial observations after skimming through the video, so it's entirely possible that I've missed something pertinent.
If that's the case, then by all means feel free to point it out to me as I obviously overlooked it....

Like I said I thought this compilation of the 2011 earth quakes is "cool" to see... nothing else.. just a great synopsis of how mother earth is a rockin and a rollin and moving and shaking..
Your question of how it compares with years past is a great one... maybe someone can research that for us... but regardless is it cool to see the earth movement ... the dance of mother earth...
Don't you think?
Much love

Here is a chart which shows earthquake data from the USGS site. After the nineties, all equipment had been updated from what they had from the seventies. The amount of earthquakes were not due to the amount of equipment put out either. With those factors out of the way you can see the track the earthquake activity has gone:
13606
I didn't do a chart for all earthquake activity since that data is more difficult to come by. But a nice reliable source of magnitude 5 and greater, IMHO, would be a great indicator of the rumbling activity of the earth.

I think that it would be cooler if we knew just how many of these thousands of quakes were Really based upon Mother Earth's own rockin and rollin versus the use of technology to induce havoc on the masses. These cannot all be natural.

Too true. If you look at the chart, there is a noticeable increase of earthquake activity after the year 2003. It would be interesting to see if this correlated with HAARP. Also, watching the first video had indicated that Japan seemed to be an unnatural target of earth? Really? With all the other earthquakes of high magnitudes only Japan had hundreds of continual aftershocks. HHhhmmmm.
