"BANGKOK — A series of explosions rocked a residential neighborhood here on Tuesday, leading the Thai authorities to a cache of bombs in a rented house and the capture of two men identified in Thai media reports as Iranians. A third suspect was being sought. "

Something close to home for me, as this happened 10 minutes from where I'm currently living.
The story in Thai media goes like this;
One Iranian accidentally detonated a bomb in his apartment, then fled into the street where he tries to hail a taxi. The taxi refuses to stop and he throws another bomb at it - a policeman then comes to see what's up and the Iranian throws a bomb at the copper.
The bomb goes over the policeman's head, bounces off of a tree behind him and lands back in the Iranian's lap, blowing his legs off.

Call me cynical if you like but this reeks.

“The attempted terrorist attack in Bangkok proves once again that Iran and its proxies continue to perpetrate terrorism,” said Ehud Barak, Israel’s defense minister. Mr. Barak"
Once again, Israel steps in quickly to attribute blame on Iran. This whole scenario is so comical it begins to sound like a plot from the A-Team.

"The Associated Press quoted [Barak] as telling Israel Radio on Tuesday, “We know who carried out the terror attacks, we know who sent them, and Israel will settle the score with them.”

There's also a story floating around about an Iranian arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport, trying to smuggle a bomb to Kuala Lumpur.

Bluntly - what a crock of sh*t. It's happening again, the drums of war are beating for Iran and this is another step closer. There's a comment from a reader on the NY Times who puts it better than I could, as I just resort to swearing and anger;

"It seems like Israel and the United States have made up their minds that they're going into Iran, and so are doing everything they can to paint Iran as a villain."

It is so frustrating watching this unfold under our eyes and feeling powerless to do anything about. Another reader on the NY Times said <<It is irrelevant whom this people are. The war on terrorism should continue everyday and in every way, holding no boundaries and investigating these incidents, connected or not, should be by a united international force.>> How do you do that when you can't even be sure if it is your own country or its allies behind the terrorism and therefore could be the very same ones investigating it?

Frustrating indeed.

I'd been avoiding this forum as it was making me feel absolutely helpless and then furious that, despite the obviousness of the cover-stories and propaganda, we're absolutely powerless to do anything about the continued bullsh*t.

Sometimes it seemed easier to relax and try to get on with my life, sadly.

That's the soundest advice you could give yourself.
We are the rats in the maze. We need to continue looking for the cheese before that too is taken from us.
You have affect on your immediate environs and yourself. That's what the focus should be.
