This reminds me of what my son and I saw at 11p central time last week. Also, my son reported seeing an orb about a month earlier come down hover then 'shoot up straight towards the stars' (as he put it). He is a staunch christian and was actually a little frightened of what he saw because it was not anything like an astroid, plane, or meteor. He asked me if I thought it could be an alien ship, I kept my opinion to myself and told him it was exactly what he saw a UFO: an un-identified flying object. He knows that I believe in other life forms outside our earth but whenever we really get into the subject he says there isn't any proof. He has been witnessing strange flying objects since he moved here and I think he may be changing his attitude (but won't admit it to me) about believing in other life forms 'out there'. Basically he has the attitude of Scully from xfiles. :)

It looked very much like a meteor to me. My husband and I also saw one a year ago around Christmas, crossing overhead as we passed Columbia, SC. Freaked us both out, it seemed so big and so close. Now another big one, that close? It does make one wonder.

From what I've been told me already, Tanah, I thought the same thing. The Grays and Reps are getting shot down on sight....
