I showed the son of my sister a picture of Orion
and he asked: 'Do those people really live there up in the sky ?"
I'm wondering too, what's real of the Greek myths ?

Funny Elandiel BernElve made a thread 10 minutes ago:

It's not like I truely believe in Zeus or anything (although one starts to doubt or reconcider after seeing ancient aliens) but I thought it fitted the image perfectly!
Synchronisity ?

Thank you Elandiel for the links, watching it right now.
But I would like to hear some personal opinions
from other members about the Greek myths.
This is from the His Story Channel. Like Discovery and
NGC they show us on the tell lie vision what they want us to believe.
But I suppose it's a good start

Hi Black Panther,
my take on this is that the gods spoken of in myth (from every continent) may have been a race of elder hominid who 'got there' before we did. It's a fascinating subject though, and I have no fixed opinion.

p.s. I love that: "tell lie vision", haha, excellent!

It's really fascinating. Never looked at it. Only heard of the names
like Apollo, Poseidon, Zeus and others. I really love those great paintings.
This is a family tree of the Greek gods:

It's one of the ways humans try to answer complex questions regarding morality, being and existence, in a way that anyone could understand. It's easy to relate with, that's why I think such myths are so succesful. Even today there are many examples of this, such as the reptillians.

I can't help but think that myths are born out of something real, wether it's "palpable" or not. But then again, what's real and what isn't? Anyway, I don't feel they're concepts turned into images or stories. But like Borden, my opinion isn't set in stone. I often wonder about that...
