Robert Green Imprisoned For 1 Year

Robert received nine months for the alleged breach of the peace, and three months for breaking bail conditions.

The UK Column is appalled by the decision of Sheriff Principle Eward Bowen to jail Robert Green today in what can only be described as a miscarriage of justice.

Robert has been the leading campaigner in support of justice for Hollie Greig. The legal proceedings against him came as the result of his arrest for attempting to distribute leaflets while standing as a Parliamentary candidate in Aberdeen at the last General Election. Robert had been standing on the single issue of the alleged, uninvestigated, abuse of Hollie Greig while she was a child.

Since his arrest, Robert has been subject to numerous breaches of his human rights, and repeated irregularities in the legal process, culminating in a trial presided over by a Sheriff with what seems to be a clear conflict if interest. That conflict of interest is linked to the apparent friendship between Sheriff Bowen and Eilish Angiolini. A complaint has already been lodged with the Judicial Office.

Robert has clearly been imprisoned to send a message to everyone campaigning for Hollie.

While we at the UK Column have concerns for Robert's safety in a Scottish prison, we would like to echo the sentiments of the Hollie Demands Justice campaign - this campaign will not be silenced through this type of blatant intimidation.

In his last posting before the hearing on Friday on his own blog today, Robert had this to say:

This will be my last blog prior to the impending trial.

Since it is difficult to predict what may occur, I would again like to take this opportunity of thanking all of those wonderful people who have supported Hollie, Anne and me throughout this campaign and to those who have attended my many court hearings. To those of you who may be able to come along on Friday, I shall be most grateful and pleased to see you.

My fate is not in the hands of a jury, but of one man, Sheriff Principal Edward Bowen.

OK, this sentencing is meant to be a warning and stop other form speaking out.

The opposite will happen with all of this. Trying to take attention away from this case will only bring more to it. And the way Brits are feeling these days, seeing more injustices will only piss them off even more. IMO they have a tighter rope around their necks because they have "Monarchs Disease"..... (ewwwwwww!) Seriously, it's contagious because their monarchs are causing us problems, too...

Anyway, it's a shame what this so called legal system is doing, victimizing every good and decent person. But it'll backfire soon enough. The Brits are decent people who can only take so much and then when they've had enough, they'll move to action.

Maybe good people, one day will say enough is enough, I find it very hard to find words at this time. often wonder if a good group of people like I find here could all stand up with one powerful united voice world wide, and just help a good hearted caring human like Robert Green. who is just asking the UK police to do the job we all hoped that they are there for please join the many face book groups or some of you wonderful letter writers to pull out there swords and whiled the mighty word.
