My husband and I were talking about the miracles of nature and how wonderful this world really is. In spite of all the bad stuff that is going on around us and in other countries, there is still such beauty in nature.
Here is a miracle that happened to us on a holiday. We were in total awe for weeks after.

Beautiful!!!
You guys must have been in awe! I know I would have been. I just read what you say in the youtube page, about how they played with you, and waited for you ... I am envious. There's something about those guys and their 'smiles' that always makes me think homo sapiens may not be top dog of the intelligence pile after all.
I've been racking my brains, but I haven't got any miracles to post that would match that!
Thank you, Jessamy, a beautiful clip of a beautiful experience. Thank you for sharing it here.

Borden

One of my experiences with nature wonders which I can say the best about was in Sequoia forest in California.
When seeing General Grant tree I strayed a bit from the path and enjoyed the forest and those gentle giants.
I love them very much and I felt there some good energy while being with them.

Dear Borden,
You are most welcome!!
I really believe dolphins have as much intelligence as us, but loads more love and enjoyment of life!!
But there are miracles every day all around us.
Every tiny screwed leaf that is at this very moment, in my garden, pushing its way out of a bud makes all our industry totally inadequate!!
I love nature!!

Dear Beren,
I love the tall gentle giants in the New Forest in England too!!
I particularly love the sound pine forests make, like a whisper.
You can almost hear their thoughts when you walk there!!
Do you happen to have a photo??
Happy flying!!

Great thread Jessamy, very inspiring!
Here is my 'miracle of nature' anecdote:
When i lived in Norfolk, in my twenties, one very hot summers day, i took the day off with my wife
We were walking along the beautiful beach at Holcombe, a vast expanse of sand.
Walking, & going in the sea and breakers, for a swim, walking & drying off etc.
In the distance, I spotted a 'bundle on the sands', at the tide mark.
At first it looked like a bundle of clothes, then as I drew closer, a small dog/puppy
As we drew closer still I realised it was a baby seal!
All alone, and ‘sun basking’ as they do.
The tide was coming in rapidly.
I left my clothes with my wife & went in, swimming with him, & diving under & around, & playing together in the shallows.
This felt amazing, to be interacting with a totally wild creature.
I became aware of another presence beside us. I then noticed that his mum had joined us. She swam nearby, watched us, but kept away, we played like that for about 10 minutes.
It was also great that the mother seal felt assured, somehow that I was no threat to her pup.
Amazing experience!
That pup, is probably a 'grizzled, scarred, old sea lion now'!! (just like me!!...lol)
A few miles further up that coast line is one of the biggest gatherings of seals. They gather on the sand banks at Blakeney. Seal trips are run by local boats, twice daily to observe the seals. I have seen as many as 200 gathered there at one time.

Dear Onawah,
I have never seen them as I have never been there. But seeing the comparative size of the people in the photos gives me an inkling of their huge size. Although we only have tiny trees in England, in comparison, I do love walking in forests.
Different parts of the planet have a completely unique set of miracles!
Thankyou for posting. :)

It`s almost a revelation experience there. Too bad that majority of tourists think of which sandwich to eat while there...
OK maybe I am a bit harsh right now but beauty there and the calm energy are magnificent.
Even pine trees there are enormous but with Sequoias they are tiny trees when in fact those pines from Sequoia forests would be four times bigger than biggest pines elsewhere.
I noticed that people became more friendly when in forest compared to the city feel...
Loved the drive thought the forest too... you almost wish to touch them through the windshield glass...
Close to General Grant tree I strayed a bit and enjoyed the beauty of other Sequoias nearby.
Their bark is different than other trees and kinda weird on a good way.
Nothing much lives around those trees except small plant life for their roots suck all the good water and things from ground.
Sherman gains each year in mass and volume as five or so big pine trees...
And is here for the last few thousands of years.
Before I made the trip in April last year I just felt the call to go. And I went.
Cities and rest in CA are ok but my heart was pumping faster as soon as I was driving closer and closer to the forest.
Gentle giants and beautiful trees.

In UK, in Glastonbury, (in a place which bears the ancient name of ‘Isles of Avalon’,)- there are two ‘Giant oak trees—2000 years old’
These are of great interest to many people, who wonder at the age, and mystery which surrounds them.
Strange to contemplate, that these are living organisms, which were around at the time of Christ.
** Sadly- both felled this year-by ‘mindless vandals -trying to fulfil an ancient prophecy’-“That when the Ancient Oaks are felled, then we will be indeed living in The End Of Times”
Now, upon reflection, as these magnificent trees are no longer with us, I feel sort of privileged that I did ‘hug a tree’,- those trees specifilaccy-when I visited a couple of years ago.
The place does have a sort of peacefulness about it, and many go there to meditate.
Here is a link to some pics of the trees, + other images of that wonderous place.
Granted, these trees do not have the magnificent majesty of those 24 ft diamater trees, but it is nevertheless the longevity that is a wonder to so many who view them.

A wonderful synergy between humans and dolphins. They must know how harmful we are to them sometimes, yet they never reciprocate. Is it naivety on their part or understanding.

Hi CeltMan, A number of ancient oaks are being felled or brought down by hurricanes in very recent times??....JFK Arlington Cemetery. Yitzhak Rabin, memorial building. I can't find my references at the moment, but there are others too. Possibly more ritualistic than vandalism.

Hi P.T.
Take your point, but I did actually read a post in Dec 2011 that stated that the two trees: 'Gog & Magog,// Oaks of Avalon' had been felled by vandals.
Darned if i can find that report now though. have to wait until i next go down there to ascertain facts.

any eggs yet. Soon all nature will explode in an extatic outburst.

Hi jessamy99.
Wow, I would just love to have that experience of swmming with dolphins.
I am convinced they are more intelligent than us humans.
Maybe if we had all our, bits, connected?

Dear Toothpick,
When we were with them, they were playing with us.
Swimming close enough to touch and flicking out of the way just in time!!
Then laughing at us - like children playing catch!!
I think they were trying to teach us how to have some fun!!
Maybe if we remember this is a gift, to be born on this planet,
Maybe if we learn to laugh at ourselves as Borden recently made us,
Maybe then we will be more like the dolphins!!
Laughing.

The Human Voice
This is surely to be classed as a ‘miracle of nature’
Who amongst us has not had our spirits raised by listening to a beautiful voice.
Although the actual preference is subjective, amongst the huge variety of differing voices.
IMO Stevie Wonder is one to be admired, in that he has managed to tap into the emotional needs of his audience, and produce great music, - despite his impediment of being born blind(or perhaps because of it?)
P.S. A great and uplifting and positive thread.
P.P.S. A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSAMY!!
May you have all that your heart desires, today and always.

The miracle that is ‘Water’
We mostly take water for granted, … as long as we have clean water to drink , cook with, and bathe in.
There have been fascinating studies carried out over recent years about the properties of water, amongst which is that it has ‘memory’
In that scientific experiment, polluted water was shown under a microscope.
Hands were then placed over the top of the water and the following words were uttered: “I give love and appreciation to this water”
The water was then examined under a microscope,… and found to be TOTALLY UNCONTAMINETED AND PURE!
(‘human emotions affect water’)
k1-0ulKgmio
ILSyt_Hhbjg
Now, it occurs to me that, as we humans are composed of 70% water, we have the responsibility to ensure that we do not contaminate the water within us,.. by negative thoughts and emotions.
If water can indeed take on both positive and negative vibrations, then this may explain a lot of illness.
As we were no doubt designed by an infinite universal intelligence, that we are composed of this ‘miracle intelligent memory compound’.. called water is no accident?
There is also the hypothesis of ‘sunlight’s affect upon water’
Apparently sunlight affects water by ‘adding’ a molecule of oxygen to the water molecule
The drinking of this H2O2 apparently has health giving benefits.
I would also recommend the thread called ‘structured Water’ by Arrowwind: http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?41286-Structured-Water-Living-Water
