Sorry to learn about this, shadowstalker. I hope you take him to the cleaners for your stress and get enough out of him so that you can move.

shadowstalker,
i myself have been in this very situation, very recently....... i can definitely feel your pain. moving is a tremendous amount of work, it is also a tremendous strain emotionally..... my fiance and i received an eviction notice at the beginning of feb., and to be moved out by feb. 29. we were fortunate to find a new home that allows smokers and pets. we were fortunate that we had the money for our security deposit, pet deposit and first months rent. we were also very thankful that we had family and friends who helped us to do the move. there were other issues as well, i started a thread about it last week.
we are in our new place, and today is the last day that i have to go back over to the black mold infested home to finish the clean up. if i can do anything to help you sweetie, please feel free to pm me. i will help in anyway that i possibly can.
warmest regards, corson

Sorry to hear about your trouble with the landlord Shadowstalker. Judging from the condition of the property, I'd say it is the landlord who should be evicted. I hope you are successful at getting him to put the house in proper shape.

We had been wanting to move for years now but we had to wait for our son to graduate which was june 2010. but i had begged for my husband to save money for years now as he is a spendaholic if he had save the money like i highly suggested we would have had at least 5 grand just in tax refund alone. but nope he don't want to do it , we just got back 1600 yesterday.
Now he wants to rent to own this hell hole but all i want is the money wasting on this place..
And I don't have friends/family to move in with and credit is messed up. one of my sisters has 15g saved and she wont let me borrow to move back to Conn.
The landlord is still trying to collect rent but still wants us out he has always known about the job issue but he don't care.
And I don't mean to be sexist or anything like that but, i have had it with man nads flying in my face, my landlord and husband has this attitude of do it my way and deal.
I am that close to just blowing things up.

Dont think I agree much with hanging in there. Why stay miserable. What kind of life is that. That's like saying a person should stay in an abusive relationship and make it work... yea ok.. Do what will make you happy.
I know I would. It's not great seeing 2 people split up but if he was telling me it's his way or no way and to deal with it......yea I'd deal with it by leaving. I wouldnt want to stay if i wasnt happy. That's just me tho.

I get what your saying, I just got no place to go, it is very frustrating , and depressing and there is a 6 month waiting list for woman shelters.

Hi shadow, I know what you are feeling, cause I've just gone through the same thing myself...
Not from landlords, but from banks...
All I can say is hang in there!!...
Fall back on friends & family...

this is so true. i was very lucky to have this happen to me, shadowstalker, it happened right at the right time. and several doors opened up to me. like i said earlier, i found a new home that worked for us, i found a new job; and i am enrolling in school to try to hit a new pay schedule.
please try to remember that when bad things happen, something good can come from it.
most profound thoughts of love, light and strength to you.....corson

Hi Shadow, hang on in there - I know its cliche, but every cloud has a silver lining......This will all turn out OK. Maybe your sis can give you just a little bit - not a hand out - but a hand up?
Trust in yourself.

Hi there Shadowstalker~ this explains why we've been missing your wonderful presence on PA lately.
Sorry to hear of your troubles. I know you know that there's a deeper meaning behind everything... and sometimes our path doesn't appear before us until we've taken a step and our foot is almost ready to meet the ground. This seems to be the energy of late. It requires great trust and faith, following our inner knowing. I say try to tap into the energies that seem to be flooding in lately. It seems that the stop-gap of time is gone, from when we put our intention/thoughts/& feelings (which are key to making that magic happen) together until the time the desired outcome manifests. Call it co-creation or whatever term suits you- that energy is really powerful right now.
Blessings Sister. We are all with you in this.

Power to you. Many years ago I was in a bad situation and convinced I could not move out. I endured it. Then I was eventually forced out and at that time had half of my previous income. Yet things turned out fine - not easy - but everyday when I came home that negativity was not there. A way will come for you.

shadowstalker, may I suggest that you do not react or dwell too much on what is going on around you, so that you do not miss when it is time to take action.

Sorry to hear of your troubles shadowstalker.
I suppose for some, it no big thing to make your living off the misfortunes of other human beings.
Don,t understand it, but, it is so obvious everywhere.
Sending good thoughts and vibrations your way.

Hi Shadowstalker...
I got an empty apartment you can use.. Why empty?, it's what I call a place I can crash and keep my stuff at. (I use to travel and work all over the world)
I guess it's too far from home for you?

all will be well babe. That front fence looks terrifying. I'm not too familiar with texas and its code, but I don't see how some of that can be legal, the courts should be able to help you out. Slow process but hopefully things work out for you.

As stupid as it sounds: "it is okay". I totally know how stupid this sounds. It was stupid to me, until I moved out. Then, everything was (not easy) but O.K. Love.
