Hey folks,
Check this out!
Villagers from a small village, in Maranhão state, Brazil, have found a metallic sphere that fell from the sky.

Hydrogen fuel tank from a rocket/spacecraft? Something like that ... the question is .. why are these suddenly falling from the sky everywhere? Several in Africa I believe and one or two in australia ... I wonder how many in the ocean? Why all of them now? Why all the "norway spiral" and "China airport" type of destroyed rockets/crafts/whatever?
Fireball over western/cental Canada the other day -- big and hit the ground in Saskatchewan somewhere ...
War in space? Solar flares knocking things out of the sky?

Similar object fell in Namibia 2 months ago.

Don't blame me for the music.
Could be something as plane and simple as a Oxygen or hydrogen fuel tank for satellite.
But the problem with that is something that small from a satellite would probably burn up in the atmosphere. More than likely it is something Within.
A little more information on it ( not in Portuguese )
"It is a mysterious ball that looks like a prop from a science fiction film - and nobody can explain where it came from.
Police have been left baffled after a strange metal sphere fell to the ground in a remote area of northern Namibia, Africa.
It weighs around 13lbs, has a diameter of 14 inches and its rough surface looks like ‘two halves welded together’, said police forensics director Paul Ludik."
"When the ball came down it caused a crater 12 inches deep and 13ft wide, although it was found some 60ft away."

Nimmer, that's too funny
I think that thing that fell from the sky looks human made. Not sure what it is, maybe it fell off a sattelite.

John Kettler spoke of metal objects falling from the sky in his first interview with Kerry Cassidy. Long but definitely worth a listen.

An identified metal sphere has plunged from the sky on unsuspecting villagers in northern Brazil, causing an uproar. According to eyewitnesses, the UFO weighs about 50 kilograms and measures roughly one meter in diameter.
The sphere fell on Wednesday in a village of Riacho dos Poços in Brazilian Maranhão state. No casualties were reported apart from an unfortunate cashew tree that was severed by the object as it plunged to the ground, according to MR NOTÍCIAS, a Mata Roma news site.
Valdir José Mendes, 46, told police the sphere landed several meters from his house leaving a one-meter-deep hole in the yard.
"I heard the noise and I went out to see what caused it. I thought it was a plane that had fallen, or an earthquake," he said.
The noise was such that Mendes was too scared to go outside. However, curiosity got the better of him and he headed outside to find the cashew tree’s trunk snapped in half by a mysterious metal sphere lying in a hole nearby.
Some 20 villagers joined Mendes to help him extract the object from the ground and examine it. Mendes says the sphere is hollow and if shaken some sort of liquid can be felt swishing inside. Locals quickly spread the news, as they reached the town of Mata Roma over 2,000 people flocked to see the “UFO”.
"It was a huge uproar here. Some feared it was the beginning of the 2012 end of the world, others said it was ‘alien’, but I think it is a piece of satellite," said Max Garreto Mauro, 25, a resident of Mata Roma.
Peter Costa, the meteorologist at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), agrees with Garetto, saying the object would probably be part of a satellite. "I'm sure this is not a weather balloon or part of it," he said as quoted by O Imparcia.
Military police confiscated the sphere and took it to the barracks in the nearby Mata Roma. They have not specified what the UFO’s possible future will be. In a statement the Air Force Command said it "does not have specialized structures to perform scientific research on this type of aerial phenomena, which prevents the institution to submit an opinion on these events."

In December 2011, a similar incident happened in Namibia, where a metal “Teletubby head” weighing 5.9 kilograms and measuring 35 centimeters in diameter hit the ground in the village of Omanatunga. Some Russian specialists believe the “head” was part of the third stage of the Soyuz-U rocket, launched on October 30.
Space debris stories made the headlines throughout 2011. In January, media chased the infamous Russian mars probe Phobos-Grunt across five oceans to keep up with Russia’s space agency, constantly changing the possible impact location.
Earlier in October, the German Roentgen satellite split into 30 chunks, one of which weighed 400 kilograms, but those globs eventually made their way in to the Indian Ocean.
In September 2011, the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite made headlines when it threatened to fall right onto Britain but eventually collapsed into a remote part of the Pacific Ocean.

A source at the University of Sao Carlos has speculated that the object could be a helium coolant tank from an Ariane 4 rocket body that was predicted to occur the morning the object landed. According to the Aerospace Corporation, object 1997 016C, an Ariane 4 3rd-stage rocket body was expected to reenter just off the coast of South America and reenter into the Pacific Ocean; however, the object could reasonably have landed anywhere along the teal and yellow ground track shown in the image to the left. What are "Space Balls"?
Space Balls are a special kind of space debrish that fall from the sky on a surprisingly regular basis. There have been a high number of reported cases from all over the world. While many people believe they are the remnants of some kind of alien technology related to the phenomena of "UFO orbs", they are more likely to be related to human rocket technology.
The scientific explanation : Space Balls are a special kind of space debrish that ‘typically’ survive the reentry from orbit through the Earth's atmosphere and crashland. Space Balls are more than one kind, but usually are most commonly different kinds of titanium spheres that are part of the propulsion systems of various spacecrafts. The most common is the Delta Rocket:
http://www.tarrdaniel.com/documents/Ufology/images/SpaceBalls/delta2_debris.jpg
(Delta Rocket II parts: thermal blanket, combustion chamber, pressure spheres, propellant tank)
The small titanium pressure spheres and larger steel propellant tank are two parts that ‘typically’ survive reentry. Also pieces of the thermal blanket are easily make it back to Earth, but usually go unnoticed. Sometimes pieces of the composite combustion chamber can also be found.
In September, the National Research Council warned NASA that space debris has passed the “tipping point,” The Post’s Christian Torres wrote. “There are more than 22,000 such pieces in orbit. NASA estimates there could be hundreds of thousands — or even millions — of smaller, non-trackable pieces of debris also in space.” Here’s a depiction released by NASA of what the space around Earth may look like.
http://www.tarrdaniel.com/documents/Ufology/images/SpaceBalls/space_debris.jpg
One thing we have going for us on Earth: There’s a lot of empty land out there — and even more open ocean. The chances of debris hitting even one of the 7 billion people on the planet are about 1 to 3,200. As with the case of the mystery ball of Namibia, the objects probably won’t hit anyone.

How do you say "weather balloon" in Portuguese?

;) Yep, my thought as well. Funny how many things morph into weather balloons after they disappear from the public eye.
