On a lighter note, this guy is my writer of choice and has been for over twenty years..He took over from Mike Moorecock in my imagination. I believe that he has a grasp on how the future could be..I believe that it is the future that both Bill and Kerry imagined. It's certainly the future I hope for us all.
Check out Gregg Bears lectures on Google....He may be a fiction writer, but I'd love to see a two hour interview with him and Bill. I've mentioned it to Gregg and he's up for it!
Anyone else here a Gregg Bear fan?

Well to all fans, check out gregbear.com...and if you're really into him..check out his google lecture....He's totally aware about (old) Camelot as I've been chatting to him for about four years...He answers personal mails regularly and is an amazing guy...beware though guys!..one has to task his brain from time to time...and he doesn't mind calling an idiot in his eyes..an idiot!
Well I've been a multi idiot many times..but I when I get it right then he's kind...I'm sharing this with my friends and fans...mail him..you won't be disappointed.

Dayum!
Seems I am over a decade behind on my Greg Bear reading.
The last one I read (three times) was Moving Mars - 1993

Oh no guys...Eon, Eternity are awesome books and is probably where a Greg Bear newbie should start....He's probably the Patrick O'Brian of SciFi...after you've read those two..then move on to the others...An awesome author with an amazing grip on potential futures!

Sorry I meant to say that my todays comment was for Fredkc and Studeo..just to say that the books are available from Amazon...I'm waiting for my copy of Mariposa...just to repeat..most of his books are awesome..but "Eon" and "Eternity" will just blow you away.
I've asked him to contact Bill and kerry..but he's reluctant to do it so far...maybe one day.

Ok by me. Send away.
I have tampered with it, as you can see.
Original says only "We want Beer" !
It's a great periode-image, and make a fun
illustration for party-invitations,
here it is:

Can make one with only Bear on all posters,
but found the mix to be amusing. PM me if so.
Cheers, nm.

Ive read Eon, and eternity. Eon grabbed my attention almost immediatly!! :D
Id love to read more similar material. Both books were really gripping reads for me! :D
And on another note! hasnt a lot of sci-fi become real life technology over time?
Someone once described fiction as the only true mind expanding drug. I completely agree with this statement! As such Ive started to write fiction myself.
May we ALL push the envelope into the realm where dreams are real!

Hi dreamchaser,
I don't think that Greg Bear has written a bad book, so they're all worth reading. Like you say alot of life ends up emulating art; and bearing in mind how long ago Eon and Eternity were written...a great deal that was mind boggling at the time is now within the realms of possibility.
Thanks for mailing on my thread!

Absolutely Deamchaser,
There is also more truth out there than the Avalon Chat room..where often times there is no truth at all....

Greg Bear is my favourite SciFi writer. I am in the middle of reading Moving Mars. I read Eon years ago, and I have read most of his work.
There used to be another extraordinary SciFi writer called Patrick Tilley. Then there was Carl Sagan with 'Contact'.
Hope you don't mind me mentioning these others. I do not intend to take away from Greg Bear who, as I said, is my favourite of them all.
