Referring to the possibility of an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, the country's defense minister warned possible perpetrators of Iran's secret weapons capabilities, saying that the "Islamic Republic of Iran has many hidden capabilities which are kept for rainy days."

"We have not yet revealed all our capabilities," Vahidi told the semi-official Fars news agency, stressing the added value of Iran's independently run and operated military industry.

"Undoubtedly, since our defense is an independent and defensive one based on our own defensive policies, special defense doctrines and our own indigenous defense and internal capabilities, the U.S. will face a completely new environment when gets involved with the new issues that Iran is pursuing and it will be obliged to think of this new environment," Vahidi said

The top Iranian official also spoke of what he said was the United States' inability to influence Iran's military progress, saying that, "naturally, they cannot reach this point since we have not displayed all our capabilities and capacities."

"These days Americans badly fear that an incident happens in the region and they can't stand against the Islamic Republic's firm positions vis-à-vis that given event," Vahidi told Fars.

Just ran across this too:

Nasty surprises await warmongers in Persian Gulf

The most important thing I've read these last few days is the excellent article 'Armageddon Approaches' written by Dr Lasha Darkmoon , a cautionary piece which points the reader towards some very scary background information.

For example, according to Russ Winter of The Wall Street Examiner , Iran’s Sunburn missiles, acquired from Russia and China over the last 10 years, have the capability of creating "a world of hurt" for the US Navy’s 5th Fleet.

"The Sunburn is perhaps the most lethal anti-ship missile in the world, designed to fly as low as 9 feet above ground/water at more than 1,500 miles per hour (mach 2+). The missile uses a violent pop-up maneuver for its terminal approach to throw off Phalanx and other US anti-missile defense systems. Given their low cost, they’re perfectly suited for close quarter naval conflict in the bathtub-like Persian Gulf.”

With its 90-mile range, the Sunburn can be fired from practically any platform, including a flat bed truck, and could hit a ship in the Strait in less than a minute.

Adding this warning, Mark Gaffney says , "The US Navy has never faced anything in combat as formidable as the Sunburn missile.” ......

Rainy day weapons always seem to know when its time to blow...........(sung to the tune of Gordon Lightfoot's "rainy day people")

I'm sure the Iranians have some surprises cooked up. They have had a long time to prepare and maybe some Russian and Chinese help. This is after all the remnant of the Persian Empire.

IMHO,,,,I agree, yes the American weapons could well be turned into wet firecrackers, or Milk Duds. I believe we will have a higher intelligence of intervention in standby mode in case it heats up. Again they (our friends from the stars) don't want us kids to play with matches anylonger, due to its reverberations that it causes in the universe. I hate to be repetitive, but check out this link i posted for those who have not viewed it yet.

Just to be clear, that incident occurred sometime in October 2010. So far as I can tell, it was first reported in Failure Shuts Down Squadron of Nuclear Missiles - The Atlantic, October 26, 2010 (http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2010/10/failure-shuts-down-squadron-of-nuclear-missiles/65207/).

The absurdity and power of propaganda.....

Via Salon.com: "Apparently, not only does NBC continue to present McCaffrey to its viewers as some sort of objective analyst, but NBC News executives use him as some kind of private consultant and briefer on the news. On January 12, 2012, McCaffrey presented a seminar to roughly 20 NBC executives and producers -- including NBC News President Steve Capus -- entitled "Iran, Nukes & Oil: The Gulf Confrontation." We've obtained the Power Point presentation McCaffrey prepared and distributed for his presentation, and in it, he all but predicts war with Iran within the next 90 days: one that is likely to be started by them...".*
