That is true journalism, he won't take any rubbish answer from this banker. He wants the truth and of course the bankers can not tell the truth.

Fantastic!

That woman on the left should have kept her mouth shut! Fair play to Mr. Browne for maintaining his dignity whilst pursuing his original question. I know I would not have been so calm.

The ECB representative didn't even look ashamed that he was avoiding the question.

More journalists like this please!

Vincent Brown is an outstanding critic on political topics here in Ireland and Europe. He's not afraid to go to heads with major political leaders on topics of national and international importance and has a no nonsense attitude, go Vinnie.

It's a shame that so many journalists are afraid. For a profession of supposed truth-seeking, and of relaying information, a lot of reporters don't have their hearts in thee right place. That, or they have been manipulated by regulations etc.

Also, it's quite hard to get a decent answer when you're repeatedly being fobbed off and shouted down by someone you're not even talking to.

I think wiki leaks Julian Assange summed it up when he said he has done more real journalism in 2 years than the rest of the press in 10 years. Being a journalist is the same as a politician, its about conforming in order to get the job and make career progress..

Thank god the creators of our constitution (De Valera and friends) ensured that if changes are made to the sovereignty of our nation it requires a referendum. The German media is already reporting that us irish are messing with merkels top down governing that she has become accustomed to, and how dare we as they know better.
Vincent, I love that you never give in. Keep fighting, ill be right here by your side.

enlightening and fantastic vid! Vincent Brown needs to teach the controlled media/journalist how to have gumption. Go Fighting Irish Go!! Hopefully your spunk and firery spirit will take hold in the Corproration of the United Corporate States and throughout the rest of the world. This vid gives one the feeling that there is hope of "slave debt" freedom coming to fruition in the world. Thank you, Kimberly. Namaste, love and peace universally ! :)

KENNY -THE IRISH PEOPLE WILL NOT BE BRIBED

Speaking on his way into a meeting of European leaders in Brussels, Mr Kenny said the Anglo promissory notes issue was separate to the intergovernmental treaty, and that the Irish people would not be bribed.
Minister for Finance Michael Noonan was also asked whether a deal on Anglo Irish promissory notes could be secured by the Government in the hope this would help secure a 'Yes' vote on the the fiscal compact referendum.
Mr Noonan said: "The Irish people are great respecters of their constitution and they want to be allowed to consider the facts of the treaty.
"They are not going to be subject to cohersion or inducement. We see the promissory note as a very important issue, but are negotiating it separately.

Spain is also making waves:

Spain planning to breach EU budget targets, warns prime minister Mariano Rajoy
Spain is already planning to breach its budgetary targets, defying European leaders on the day they signed their historic fiscal pact.

I presume the government knows it has to be careful as there are mounting demonstrations there, and in some areas parents are loaning money to the schools to keep them afloat and doing the cleaning at night.

In the City of London, some viewed it that Greece has already defaulted. And what's going to happen to Portugal? Sticky tape can't stick dysfunctional system together again.
