So for a good 3-4 years now my 23 year old sister has been having these awful nightmares, night terrors, idk what you want to call them. But basically she starts screaming and for the first few times i'd jump out of bed and run into her room because it sounded like she was getting murdered! She says that she sees this "man" that occurs in every single one of the nightmares. This happens at least 3-5 times per month and it really gets old. Its not healthy for her or myself that I'm woken up to her screaming bloody murder. Shes been somewhat of a troublesome kid and still has her moments(drugs, alcohol, bad relationships). I'm thinking its either a part of her past that is haunting her or maybe a negative entity attached itself to her while she was under the influence, i've heard that you are really vulnerable during this time. Any help would be appreciated.

I can really sympathise, i have been plagued by nightmares and broken sleep all my adult life.
there was one dream i had that so terrified me I was literally screaming -and for two days i had the horrors.
Meditation is a good tool, calming before bed. Valarian tea, can be mixed with Lavendar tea sedating and calming.
Attend a hypnotherapist to get to the root of any hidden bad experiences-exercise is fantastic to sleep well.
There are some very kind souls who practice spiritual cleansing, seek one out for a session.
Sorry to hear of your sisters night mares..best of luck and good fortune ...

Hi,
when we use drugs and alcohol we are lowering our naturally high vibration... What this tends
to do is put us in an easily accessible state for lower/ negative energies.
What then occurs is that we are open in our astral state for these lower beings to attach and attack.
I have experienced this personally...I was being smothered in my sleep to the point where I would stop breathing
for minutes at a time....In my dream/astral state my head was being held down on to a bench top by a being...
It would only stop when my wife would notice that I had stopped breathing and would wake me.
I had no control over it.....I realised I was only accessible to this torment when I had been taking party drugs.
You both need to protect yourselves before sleep state..
I ask for my guides/angels/ancestors to envelope my house and surroundings with a ball of light and I firmly state that no one is
allowed in my sacred space unless they are of a higher vibration of light... IT WORKS

In my experience, a piece of blue calcite under the pillow works miracles for those plagued by nightmares. I have known this to be effective for many people. It's important that the stone be cleared regularly by putting it in a bowl of sea salt, but otherwise no special skills required.

Here is a source I highly recommend:

My son, who’s eight years old, was asked by his teacher to come up with an original invention, come up with the reason why it’s needed and then craft this invention, to bring to school and explain/demonstrate its use to the class. On his own, he came up with the dream hat. His story was that if you’re plagued by nightmares, you would wear this hat at night and it had three buttons on it. You would choose which button you wanted, cartoons, sports or movies and then, instead of having nightmares, you would be able to watch the entertainment of your choice while sleeping. Personally, I thought that his idea was fantastic and absolutely feasible.

Knowing that the brain works on an electro chemical basis, and that the brain waves have a certain frequency, why not devise a way to modify that frequency while you sleep to provide yourself with pleasant dreams? An interesting idea if you ask me.

Perhaps your sister should try reciting a mantra that she will have pleasant dreams before sleeping. If repeated enough as she falls asleep, she may be able to overcome the nightmare issue.

As far as negative spirits go, I believe that one needs to invite them in for them to have any power over you. They cannot just attach themselves without some kind of allowance; otherwise we’d all have negative entities latched on to us.

Maybe she should also see a sleep doctor? I used to stop breathing while sleeping too, turns out I had sleep apnea.

Anyway, I wish you and her the best of luck and hopefully she’ll be able to overcome her nightmares soon.

Seems like your sister needs to be spiritually centered due to the violence and confusion in this world today. To do this try to reintroduce her back to nature, a walk in the park, forest, beach etc. Get her away from the hypnotic television programs. You could also Have her listen to peaceful and soothing music whilst lying in bed before sleep. There are many ways, but i feel Its a start here with these little steps i mentioned.

That man in her dreams IMO is a demon . I will say a prayer for her and hope she gets better...

my daughter is 25 going through the same thing, wakes up screaming her head off......her boyfriend is terrified as its hard to wake her out of it. She sees terrible things and has terrible things happen in the dreams........she finds it exhausting.......she used to experience hagging a lot too........she has smudged the apartment and tried lavender (just gave her that)......will try to get her the blue calcite ...thanks
She also had a demon appear in a recent dream that kept telling her Im gonna kill you ....repeating it over and over really fast and then said Ask your sister she knows us.........her sister is seeing weird dark things as she falls asleep and hearing things from them too....she was saying a mantra about a white light around as she had seen something beside her bed and suddenly she heard it growl " a white light around you!!!!!" ...bit freaky, they don't live in the same town even.

There's another thing to consider and that is that it's technology being directed at her. If that's the case, then the nightmares won't let up until "they" do....
I know that's not helpful, but being aware of it, may help. A different location in the house may stop it....

it is demons no doubt about it

there is not much to do to get rid of them

sins invite demons

there are spiritual doors you don't want to open

because you can't close them on your own

next time call on Jesus

repent and sin no more

I will preface this by saying that I feel that Christianity exists in order to polarize and bifurcate our spirituality.

These kinds of experiences, especially those containing a recurring entity, are opened up to by fear. Often times, entities will get hungry and they feed off of fear... So they create visions and situations like these on the astral or otherwise which can cause discomfort for us. It's just how these guys eat, but you can defend yourself against them fairly easily.

1) Envision yourself surrounded by gold light which protects and purifies you - this can be used to ward an entire room or structure
2) Activate your mer-ka-ba field by breathing in deep, linear and rhythmic harmony.
3) Ask them why they are seeking your attention.
4) Obliterate them by emitting violent and banishing light energy
5) Help them in exchange for favors
6) Collaborate and forge success in the entertainment business together
7) Write a book
8) Sing a song
9) Singing also purifies ones energy and brings clarity of mind and balance of soul
10) Pray to ultimately and functionally non-existent deities
11) Bind the evil spirit to an object which you can then give to the kid who bullied you back in elementary school
12) Ask them if they represent the galactic federation of light
13) You might not be making enough art
14) Call Harry Dresden (Look in the yellow pages under, "Wizard.")
15) Call Criss Angel
16) If you really need help then contact Penn and Teller on the astral plane under guidance of your body-less subconscious
17) Shamanism
18) Burn Sandalwood instead of Myrrh to dispel spirits instead of attracting them
19) Use chaos magic and simply cause the spirit to combust and implode
20) Keep investigating, you're probably on to something if you've established entity contact
21) Call upon the Archangel Michael or Ron Paul (Ron Paul is my hero) to banish the spirit to the density from whence it came
22) Address the fear which is originating the capacity for these experiences - is the subject afraid of their own potential? They must become more comfortable with themselves.
23) Investigate, be curious. Something fascinating is just around the corner.

These guys (fear eaters) won't come near me with a non-euclidean 40-foot pole nowadays. I just work with the entities that I wish to.

SloppyJoe, i know that this is going to sound like an absolutely absurd question, but would this "man" she see's in her nightmares happen to be wearing a checkerboard shirt?

My suggestion is that she faces this issue/demon through consistant meditation sessions. From what I've gather from your post...she has serious issues on her mind that she and only she can deal with.

Substance abuse are signs of neglect, choosing to run away from your problems is not the answer...as they will eventually catch up with you later...because they are apart of you. She has to face these on a mental and spiritual level. Her fear will only fuel these dreams. It seems to me her subconcious is tired of hiding this issue.

Peace

First thing that comes to mind is that this man might be a shadow figure. I don't know if you're sister is up to it, but it would be good to make an intention before she goes to bed that sounds something like this: "I'm a protected, beautiful soul who's going to have a good night of sleep. Should there be any issues (with this dark figure), I would like them to come forward in a higher vibrational and peaceful manner."

The clearer her intention is, the more it works. She could visualize the confrontation while being embedded in a circle of light and where she decides the distance where this figure should 'stop'. If she feels comfortable with it, she could ask what he wants to say/show/... her, always in respect of her boundaries and in a higher vibration (never get to the lower level of communication, because that will include fear... like in her current nightmares... from fear you lose focus and might not see the core message/issue being communicated by this figure/the subconscious). She might get a symbol, word or whatever which may look or sound strange at first... Her subconscious will get the message and things will start to change for the better.

She could do it in (tiny) steps. It always has to feel comfortable.

Compare it to being afraid of spiders. If you want to get rid of that, you need to confront the little animals bit by bit, maybe even up to a point where you let them walk over your hand.

Anyway, not claiming to be right, but it might help

There's an interesting book by Thomas Moore called 'The Dark Night of the Soul'. A large part is contributed to the shadow.

Here you'll find some excerpts: http://www.enotalone.com/health/6350.html.

Cheers,

If bona fide curses are suspected, enlisting a professional may help. Toadsbone Apotheca is someone I know, and would trust, and he is the real deal. If nothing else helps, hoo doo.

You are quite right, my friend. That is the beauty of humanity - that we are simultaneously of duality and source.

If your sister is into affirmations, Eft tapping (a la David Childerly who is a great guide for this on youtube) or praying, sometimes the wording "even though I am... (a user, am fearful, am not always committed to my highest good, not perfect, etc) ..I deserve and try to receive the qualities of (peace, rest, self-appreciation, self-forgiveness) she would make her own list at any given time.

If she's not, you can say this type of thing "in the first person for [name]" and declare your prayer as rightful and true. And declare it to be so. Hope this helps a little.

I used to suffer from continual nightmares and came across (I don't know where) this mantra. It has worked 100% for me since the first night over 3 years ago. I gave it to my wife and father who have both noted complete success. Say it every night before going to sleep. I am very happy to be able to share it with you!

IN THE NAME OF THE I AM THAT I AM
I COMMAND
THAT WHILE MY BODY SLEEPS
I TRAVEL TO THE HIGHER PLAINS OF DIVINE LIGHT
SO BE IT
