It looks to me like that "youtube social blog" is an automated part of Youtube's effort to provide what they call channels (in a way resembling TV channels), to make it easier for people to track their favorite videos, and to make it easier for Youtube to track (and control and monetize) what people are tracking.

It's nothing that we (mods and admins) are doing ... this thread was the first I had ever seen of it.
