Dear Avalonians,

This Thread is dedicated to everyone and your amazing UNIQUENESS. This world really wouldn’t be the same without you!

This is a place to celebrate our uniqueness that consists of so many colourful threads that creates a vast tapestry of expression, experience and wisdom – together this forum is so Abundant!

I have titled this thread ‘The Power of Uniqueness’; a place for everyone to share and celebrate freely their own unique qualities. Please share your stories, don’t be shy, I know each one of us has been on a very long journey thirsty for answers, and we will all have found many of these answers in our own unique ways.

I will start this thread off by sharing the spiritual wonders, love, empowerment and wisdoms I have personally gained from learning to walk and skip in my own uniqueness. I truly believe that if everyone embraced and celebrated their own uniqueness, our lives and this world would become a joyful evolving planet. Smile.

Seeing that I have never properly introduced myself in the year I have been on this forum (tut tut), here is a nano quick intro. In this particular incarnation I don’t follow any religion or set belief systems. I don’t seem to fit into any sort of box or label, although tried many times. I suppose I am a sort of maverick, a wild child that refused to be tamed by society’s ways. I am thoughtful, conscientious, loving, savvy, loyal, open, intuitive, passionate, brave at times and constantly curious. I am interested in anything that empowers my own inner ‘Knowingness’ and a betterment for all.
(My Hubby says I forgot to put in ‘Sexy’ – LOL - typical man thought).

I am aware of many past lives where I have been a devout follower of Ra, Anu, Buddhist, Jewish, Gnostic, Christian, Catholic, Muslim, Pagan, Shaman, Cathar, Witch, Seer, Atheist etc, etc..... and I have contemplated this thirsty spiritual pursuit that has involved so many lifetimes. Yet here I am, reincarnated back here on Planet Earth again in a new body; my spiritual thirst still unquenched so it would seem.....

This led me to a startling question – “What was ‘it’ that I was just not ‘getting’, ‘seeing’, ‘understanding’ and ‘embracing’ to reach what I would term ‘enlightenment’? Could it be that the true state of ‘enlightenment’ is ‘not’ what any of my previous incarnations ‘thought’ it was?”

It was in this stunning jaw dropping revelation ‘???whatever???’ it was, that I ‘thought’ I was looking for, had to be approached completely differently to what I had ‘ever done’ before!!!

I contemplated deeply..... Maybe part of the answer to this illusive mystery was my ‘nature’ to ‘follow’; following others in their beliefs, opinions, experiences, scripts, society, creed etc rather than simply believing in myself and ‘leading’ myself.

What did ‘leading myself’ actually mean? I think it was a wise teacher named Jesus who said, “Know Thyself”. This is the journey I have been exploring, flowing with my own inner guidance and inner ‘knowingness’. I see every moment in my waking and sleeping states as opportunities to experience and learn to Know Thy Self; consciously observing my intents, thoughts, actions and reactions. Every moment is teaming with opportunities to discover more about my ‘self’ here and my expanded greater ‘Self’ elsewhere that exists simultaneously.

I practice my own intuitive deep trance meditation that takes me to a space where I no longer remember my ‘name’ or any sort of ‘identity’ - becoming connected to ‘Source’ where All Life is Alive Unified Consciousness - sorry, difficult to find the words because it is a paradox as in this space I am Everything and No-Thing all at the same time.

In all the religious and philosophical books I have read, these teachers and authors are all describing in their own words what I too am attempting to describe, which is a difficult task because words are so very limited and do not do any justice in describing the true wonders of who we truly are that are so far beyond words.

I am now starting to understand what those enlightened souls who discovered their own ‘enlightenment’ like Jesus, Buddha, Krishna etc attempted to do, sharing their wisdoms to inspire others to ‘see’ and ‘awaken’ their own ‘inner light’ within themselves.

Unfortunately human nature is constantly battling with their altered egos in ‘survival of the fittest’, resulting sadly in precious scripts reinterpreted to ‘fit’ the political nature during different times in history. The Bible is one fine example of this with many important gospels omitted, different translations and even texts removed such as the topic of reincarnation. Yet, when one starts to really ‘see’ the bigger picture, and has the eyes to ‘see’ and ‘ears’ to hear, even the bible has quotes of wisdom left in it that are stunning.

I suppose what I am trying to say here from my own perspective is that, enlightenment in whatever shape of form/non form it takes on, ‘IS’ unique to the beholder; this is why there are so many different expressions throughout history attempting to say the same thing.

My EUREKA moment was when I finally recognised I was unique; all those years of trying to fit in just fell off my shoulders like a huge weight – I was now FREE to be me. And the great news is everyone else is unique too!

So I started to allow myself to celebrate my uniqueness, which led me to stop following and seeking outside of myself; this is when my greatest spiritual strides were achieved. Now I ‘allow’ the process. The more I Know who I am, allow myself to express this, the greater my love, and understanding is towards others – and each day the compassion grows stronger and stronger. Embracing one’s uniqueness is so very, very spiritually empowering! In my humble opinion.

I have a simple picture analogy reminding me of ‘uniqueness’ that I often say to myself if I suddenly get stuck in my ways and unable to allow others theirs – here it is:

“We are Spirits of Creator Source on a mission. Each one of us is directing and recording our own unique movie film of what we encounter and discover in the wonders of the ‘mind of God’. If Creator Source only wanted one version, only one Spirit would have been sent. “

My mind boggles at times when I think of how many lifetimes that are existing right NOW in ALL Pasts, Presents, Futures, Parallels, Dimensions, and Universes etc - they are all little brooks and streams of consciousness finding the rivers that flow back to the vast Oceans carrying with them their own unique adventures.

‘Truth’ is subjective and relevant to the individual beholder. I have the ‘Soul responsibility’ to direct and complete my own unique ‘movie’. What others are directing in their Soulful movies is their unique expressions and business. It is kind of wonderful, don’t you think?

I found embracing my own ‘uniqueness’ was key to help dissolving any limited beliefs or attitudes that keep me confined in my own altered ego imprisonment. When I am in the mind state of being ‘Unique’ I do not ‘compare’ because I walk in ‘abundance’. When there is no comparing there is no ‘competition’, ‘jealousy’, ‘anger’, ‘revenge’, ‘guilt’, ‘unworthiness’, lack etc, etc, that are all limited polarity mind states that have resulted from ‘forgetting one is Unique’.

In my humble opinion, embracing ‘Uniqueness’ opens the doors to our true Self.

Uniqueness is FREEDOM beyond the confines of the opinions of others.

Embracing uniqueness allows others to BE their own uniqueness.

Uniqueness is inner peace. It is joyful, compassionate and unconditional love – there are no wars or conflicts – life really becomes a true celebration of life.

So I end my post celebrating my uniqueness, celebrating your uniqueness and so look forward to seeing and experiencing a World where all of humanity is celebrating their uniqueness together in harmony, wonderment, joy and spiritually evolving creativity. Smile.

Great post, Realeyes!

Here's something I once wrote that I'm reminded of as I read what you've shared:

Everyone is the totally unique version of their own religion, regardless of what tree we gather under, or to which nominal affiliation we might currently pledge some generally un-inspected allegiance. Before religions were dreamed up to account for ourselves in the midst of this mystery and wonder, however, there has only been one person.

Everybody is this one person. Everybody is one person appearing as everybody and everything. One person lives all these seemingly disparate lives, thinks all these random and arbitrary thoughts, performs all this play, appears in every birth, vanishes in every death, and persists totally beyond any birth or death, which are only the various births and deaths that unfold in any dream. One person’s dream. This person is not even a person, just as we are not persons, but if we were to try and say more about that, the words would blush and erase themselves.

Just so, there is nothing that we can do, except that all is being done as us, and it has no quality or attribute of desirable or undesirable, of negation or affirmation, true or false, except as we imagine in our forgetfulness, and even this forgetfulness is not truly ours, since there is only one person remembering, forgetting, waking, sleeping, dreaming, breathing, ceasing to breathe. Typically, we get confused and believe it is us, but we are not that person. That person, paradoxically, is what we’ve been dreaming too.

Here’s a good question: How can we hold onto a dream? Just so, we cannot know this person dreaming. We are what this person is dreaming. Can the dream know the dreamer? We are infinite reflections – all reflecting one person, and yet no image is actually that person. That person -- we are all the religions of that person. Still, if we try to find this person, we eventually discover there is nobody there. Even if some person or Person were to appear, nothing has changed about there being nobody there, just the fantasy of interpretation on perception, a flicker in a dream. When the interpretation ends, religion ends. Then there is just this vast and potent emptiness, birthing out dreamy universes as if there was nothing to it!

There is not even one speck of anything that can be grasped or clung to, nothing in need of redemption or salvation, and yet we still tend to cling to some belief that we are bound and in need of some good old religion to liberate us.

This religion will appear in a conceptual form particular to the temporary host vehicle’s conditioned perception apparatus, composed of dependently originating dream particles that have no inherently separate existence from the totality of the universal manifestation, and hence appear and disappear magically, as befits the kind of person who would be dreaming this whole show up.

We could say that person is you, and it would be the same for Buddha, Guru, God, Beloved – all one person, one person beyond any personhood, and so not a person at all, unless you’ve got religion. Then you also get names and forms in colors that will sometimes clash, leading to hot debates, crusades, jihads, and generally conflictive conduct.

What’s this person up to? What are we always up to? What are we always doing here? Picking and choosing, seeking this and avoiding that -- the disease of the mind of this pretending person. Imagine if that fictional person is clearly seen through, recognized as a mere error of judgment and appreciation, and then let go, released from the confines of any limiting design. Imagine -- no religion too!

I choose to raise and have a pond full of crestedducks because they are unique and different like myself. The best thing is the great feeling i get inside when I go to feed them twice daily as they come and surround me I always talk to them and call by name and they in turn talk/quack back at me. That's one of the ways I've created to get my personal daily dose of unconditional love, and I think it's pretty unique . They get really extra loud and vocal when I arrive late , they know the schedule 7:30-8am then 5-5:30 pm, they are definately creatures of habit and daily routines.
