US Company Developing Cold Fusion Process Similar to Rossi’s Energy Catalzyer
A US company is developing a pressured nickel hydrogen cold fusion process similar to Andrea Rossi’s energy catalyzer. Brillouin Energy Corporation was formed in 2009 to commercialize a fusion process being developed by Robert Godes. Godes serves as President and Chief Technology officer at Brillouin while Robert George III has been hired to be the company’s chairman and CEO.The company’s website says it intends to assemble a team of engineers and scientists to build a boiler to demonstrate Godes’ cold fusion process. The boiler would be located at the company’s facility in Berkley, California. Berkley located across the bay from San Francisco is home to the University of California. It is also located close to Silicon Valley one of the best sources of Venture Capital.
Cold Fusion Now reported that Brillouin’s first cold fusion reactor, a nickel hydrogen device that generated excess heat in an output of 100% began operating in October, last year which was before Rossi’s test in January. Godes reportedly tested an earlier device using palladium wire and distilled water in 2006.

This is a picture of Brillouin's cold fusion reactor
http://energycatalyzer3.com/files/2011/08/reactorLab.jpg
Brillouin has attracted interest from the US government. Cold Fusion Now says it will be working with Los Alamos National Laboratory the elite US government facility that built the first atomic bomb to replicate its research. This shows that despite the lack of interest at the US Department of Energy the US government is interested in cold fusion. Los Alamos has a long standing relationship with the University of California at Berkley so it may have been involved from the beginning.
Cold Fusion Now also reports that Venture Capitalists are interested in Brillouin’s work. Godes’ work could present problems for Rossi because he claims he’s been working on cold fusion since 1992. He also said he had filed some sort of intellectual property right on his process in 1995. Interestingly enough Brillouin’s first patent application has been rejected which could indicate a challenge.
Robert E. Godes is an electrical engineer who has worked in a number of fields. Like Andrea Rossi he does not hold a doctorate which could present problems in the scientific community, they don’t like to believe that people without PhDs can do scientific research. Godes’ expertise includes integrating mechanical design, phsyics and chemistry. Full details of his work have been posted the Brillouin website.
Robert W. George II has a background in finance, venture capital and interestingly enough robotics. He helped take Denning Mobile Robotics public (which means it can sell stock) and oversaw development of the world’s first commercial artificially intelligent mobile robot. He also has expertise in licensing and establishing joint ventures in different nations. George serves as managing director at Grosvenor Financial Partners LLC, a venture capital firm.

Brillouin Energy Corporation (BEC) technology uses the hydrogen in ordinary water in a nuclear process that produces no hazardous waste. The process stimulates a Controlled Electron Capture Reaction (CECR) in a catalyst. This process creates low energy neutrons. The neutrons generate heat as they are captured, building heavier elements.

NASA Calls Cold Fusion (LENR) a Game Changer
mxeKeuh_2Bw
NASA's Technology Gateway has posted a two-minute video that summarizes the emerging LENR field and the hope it brings for a world of clean, affordable energy. The overview features senior research scientist at NASA Langley, Joseph Zawodny describing a near future of home power devices.
Dr. Zawodny: "It has the demonstrated ability to produce excess amounts of energy, cleanly, without hazardous ionizing radiation, without producing nasty waste."
Narrator: "This clean form of energy is also power, able to support everything from transportation systems to infrastructure."
Dr. Zawodny: "The easiest implementation of this would be for the home. You would have a unit that would replace your water heater. And you would have some sort of cycle to derive electrical energy from that. And then it would dump its waste heat into the water or air handing system for the building. So it would be a dual use thing. It would be sitting there producing heat; [and] you'd drive electricity from it to run your electronics, power the house, power the building, power the lights. And then the waste heat would be used for environmental control [e.g. heat pump / air conditioning] and warm water."

As I said Physics is one of those subjects I normally yawn at but its like any subject or profession if you make it fun
your more likely to bring the whole class with you , not just the 'Nerds'...Though I love...The Big Bang Theory ..LOL

Getting this out to the general public is the big hurdle that needs to be jumped. James said a well known celebrity
would be putting his name to endorse this in the near future ......

The e-Cat and the US Navy
Posted on March 11, 2012 by Admin
Over the past 6 months or so, a couple of names have been bantered about as to who Andrea Rossi’s mystery customer is for his first e-Cat 1MW plants. The first name put forth many months ago was Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB ), a venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley with a well-established track record of helping new companies get off the ground. Since 1972 they have provided startup capital for companies such as Amazon.com, Sun Microsystems, Electronic Arts , Genentech, Intuit, AOL, Verisign, and Google. Notable names closely associated with this company include NASA rocket scientist K. R. Sridhar, former Vice President Al Gore, and former US Secretary of State and retired US Army General Colin Powell. Talk of KPCB being involved with Andrea Rossi and his e-Cat centered largely around the domain name e-cat.com redirecting to the KPCB web site. Prior to pointing to KPCB, e-cat.com had been owned by Exxon Oil Company for nearly a decade. The domain changed hands just a little over a month before the October 28 demo. During the October 6 demo, Rossi announced that there was a change in customer due to the advice of legal counsel. Shortly after that, the domain for e-cat.com redirected to Google Green. That domain now asks for a user name and password when attempting to access it, with no clue as to ownership and, according to Whois, the domain owner has been made private through domainsbyproxy.com.

Twenty-Year History of Lattice-Enabled Nuclear Reactions (LENR) - Hiding in Plain Sight
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The US Navy were very much into this research as the former head of Research testifies......
""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
At the University of Missouri, on May 29, 2009, scientists from the US Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR)
lectured on twenty years of verified research involving anomalous heat and mini-explosions on deuterated metals, reported by various
governmental and international research laboratories.
They conclude that these energetic observations are of nuclear origin and sow the seeds of a true green energy source.

Hi cidersomerset this equation reminds me why i was rubbish at maths[or if your american..math with no s!] lol, is cold fusion a viable long term solution or do you think its a gentle way of letting us into other forms of cheaper and ultimately free forms of energy?

Hi Mate I have just watched the above presentation from the former head of the US Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR)
science research, most of the experiments and equasions went over my head, but basically they confirmed cold fusion is definately real .........
48 mins in They show a clip from Brink science show that was trying to debunk it, but the science guy
they had on was on the fence......But the scientists in the main presentation were very positive....
