Reading this expose really made me sad. Why? Because I so enjoyed these music groups, and to think so much of it was contrived. I was thinking last night, I've heard about Travistock for the "British Invasion" and now Laurel Canyon that rounded off the decade of the 60s.

Alie, great read. thanks for posting. it is very disheartening to think about all of this. now when i hear some of that great music, i do not enjoy it as much as i once did.

Im sure some bands were a fake, I believe The Monkees fit the bill. They used many studio musicians to enhance there sound.
