If there was ever any doubts in our minds about the wrongness of Congress, then this article should disspell that. It would explain why they're crapping on the Constitution as they have been, passing illegal laws. And man do they need to be arrested even moreso now that one of them exposed this dirty secret... I remember a time when just being a communist in America brought big time trouble on your head. Now these creeps have the nerve to stand up proudly in OUR nation's capitol! I say off with their heads!
This is from Yahoo News and that you've already seen this, but it's worth bringing it to more attention:

It is 2012. Have we not grown up enough to have left the 'communist threat' behind us?
Remember when Cuba was this great threat because it was communist? This what Noam Chmosky says: Polite people are not supposed to remember the reaction when Kennedy tried to organize collective action against Cuba in 1961: Mexico could not go along, a diplomat explained, because “if we publicly declare that Cuba is a threat to our security, 40 million Mexicans will die laughing.”
Communism is just another political system, based on Marxist philosophy, and it is no more dangerous than the imperialist democratic political system (and is perhaps more benign and humane if we look at history with subjectivity and truth).
Yes, Stalin was a monster, but not because he was a communist. Is democracy to blame for the crimes against humanity committed by George W and Blair?

Allen West says things to rile people up. Don't trust a word out of his mouth. The man is a glaring hypocrite who was discharged from the military for trying to torture information out of a captured soldier. This is also the man who thinks people who have "coexist" bumper stickers should get the **** beat out of them for "trying to sympathize with America's enemies!" Juuuuuust saiyan... (yes that pun was on purpose! ;p)

Communism is following their goals of usurping power worldwide through a well conceived plan. They train dissidents in methods of anarchy. They follow this plan and promise to destroy America. Well, look at the 10 planks. Look at the 4 stages:
1. Demoralization
2. Destabilization (Worldwide now)
3. Crisis (Arab spring, Greece, London, and soon America)
4. Normalization
The socialists preach a utopian dream, but the fruit from their history is totalitarian rule. Watch a real communist speak the truth:

Sorry guys, communism is NOT the American way or the way of free people. But then neither is democracy if you read it's true definition...
What I like is that these guys are turning on each other. It just proves that whatever they manifest won't last long.
Once we get past all this crap, we'll DEFINITELY have a better world. It's just getting there that's driving everyone nuts....

First of all, what Russia had was Bolshevism, not straight out communism, although the "Dictatorship of the proletariat" in Marx's manifesto does disqualify it as a theory free from tyranny. That said there are many varieties of these systems in place. I don't think anyone for instance, can compare Burning Man to Soviet Russia! ;p
That being said however, the intelligent thing to do is to look at all systems, be they communism, socialism, or capitalism and identify which parts work well and which don't, why, then synthesize them together into a newer, better system. One that still respects individuals, freedom, and property rights but that isn't prone to being gamed by opportunistic sociopaths as our current one has. One of the greatest ways evil works is in contaminating very good ideas with very bad ones. The only way to sort that out is to take a deeper look at everything and extract the good out of it. Currently politicians are playing the name game and throwing labels meant to induce fear around like candy on Halloween. At the very least, their scare tactics won't work for much longer. :)

project paper clip is one of the main problems that has been injected into the main artery of America. paper clip put the icing on the cake! bringing the fed & irs to life in 1913 was bad enough. fyi in aug of 2013 the fed reserve contract/agreement of 100 yrs. is up in the usa. i wonder if we the people will be asked to vote on whether "we the people" want to renew the feds contract/agreement? lol namaste, love and peace universally :)

Are you serious? I grew up being called a communist. And no, I am not. I am a liberal, and my mother worked for civil rights in the fifties and sixties in the south. And yes, that was enough to get you branded communist in that location in those days.
Sorry, it's utterly ridiculous. I am going to guess you are afraid of a communist takeover? Hmm, are you concerned by a fascist one, perchance?

It'll be interesting for sure, jjjones! I hope people don't have short memories and just let the fed criminals get away with what they've done. I'd say say give them a "thumbs down with a big HELL NO!" and here's a reserved prison cell for each member past and current. And I'm not talking "Club Fed" either.... Hard time in a hard prison.... along with their other pals....

and ....... Well said to you too ETM !
"Communist" is a trigger word with which Americans (and others too, but Americans especially) have long been brain-washed. Anyone who dares to suggest that governments shoud use the taxpayers' money for public services gets labelled as a "communist" or a "socialist". The fact is that very few people, in America or anywhere else for that matter (including China, ironically) would recognize real communism or Marxism if it marched up to them and slapped them in the face. (And BTW, I'm not a communist, or any other kind of -ist for that matter !)
If we as a species are to evolve (something I'm increasingly doubtful of) then we need to realize that for the most part, these silly labels are just a contrivence to manipulate us to someone else's way of thinking in order to divide us and therefore disempower us.
It would be nice if thinking Americans could stop being distracted by this kind of nonsense and focus on a more substantial threat to their country and indeed world stability - this year the good people of America are faced with their worst ever choice for president: On the one hand, a retarded bigot, on the other, a man whose track record beggars belief, a man who has been responsible for the slaughter of more innocent civilians than any other US president, a man who can't even fart without the aid of a teleprompter and who is once again telling the American people he offers them "hope" and "change". (I think you can safely discount Ron Paul unfortunately, I gather the MSM are doing a wonderful job of keeping him off the people's radar). Will there be a 2016 election ?

Well, etm567, I had families in communist countries in Europe before the wall came down. I was only a child when we came to America, but I got called communist. Do you have any idea how it feels to have the FBI harassing you so that your father constantly lost his job or having prejudiced neighbors telling you to "go back home?" I've had quite a few family members outright murdered for things like - what they said in a letter or daring to complain about the system, and how unfair the govt was; or trying to escape trumped up charges....
My family came to America to escape it. Not see it starting up HERE! If you approve of communism so much, go live for awhile in a communist country and see how it REALLY is... It's not all that glorious as you've been brainwashed to believe. Not even if you take the best of all the "isms", it still won't compare to REAL freedom.... And America used to have lots of it....
So, it's not that I have fear of communism, it's downright ANGER that the US govt and foolish, brainwashed Americans dare to sh*t on that beautiful Constitution that guarantees our freedom. I'm offended that these communists have the nerve to stand on American soil, pretending to serve the country, all the while enjoying all the benefits it offers and still sh*t on it as a THANK YOU!

What ever happened to the idea of exercising discernment? Accepting this statement and the agent who republished it as fact is an act of absurdity. What's wrong with Congress is that among its members are people with the mindset of Allen West. He should be castigated and then ignored for the bats##t crazy stuff he says. Pay him no heed.

People, it's not the communists you should fear, it's your own government that is your enemy and it has it's own special name. It's your 'US government'. I lived under the communist regime and we had a good life until the capitalist regime took over. If I was forced to choose to live under the communist regime or the US capitalist/fascist regime, I would choose the communist one anytime. If you only read in books' or are told by your leaders, about what communism is all about and don't live through it, then it is truly hard to fully understand what life is like under the communist regime. Your capitalist government that is based on democracy (ha ha) would never consider to blame someone else for their own mistakes by presenting to you false information. Really, the capitalist regime only speaks the truth and nothing less. The communists or the terrorists are at fault, and they must be destroyed.

Maia - Thanks for sharing that with us. Having direct experience of a "communist" regime, your opinion is, in my view anyway, worth 100 times more than someone who hasn't.
We've ALL been brainwashed to varying degrees, be it about "communism", "democracy", "freedom", the list is endless. I'm no expert on Marxist ideology, but having spoken to numerous people who ARE, I gather that the USSR and its' satellites were very far removed from what Marx had in mind. I spent 2 weeks in Poland in 1989 and would have no wish to live under the type of system I saw there. Apparently, the country I've been living in for the last 4 years is "communist", but it bears no resemblance to what I experienced in Poland, nor to what I was taught to believe about communism growing up in Britain. (Agreed, China is ruled by a party calling itself communist, but the economy is ferociously capitalist).
I take your point about the American constitution having been hijacked, but I have to ask, when exactly did this start ? It's fairly easy for us to see how bad the situation is today, but there are a lot of knowledgable people here and writing elsewhere on the net (and in books) who would say that the constitution was sabotaged LONG ago ! Unified Serenity wrote a post recently saying that Lincoln effectively cancelled the constitution by declaring martial law, and that this decision has never been rescinded. Does it go back even further ? Drake (whoever he is) speaks about the 14th amendment being the key to the whole issue, I don't know. These facts are for the American people to discuss and hopefully resolve.
The point I wanted to make is that in the West, and most particularly in the USA, people have been programmed to respond to the word "communist" in a knee-jerk manner - label someone as a "communist" and you provoke a strong emotional reaction. This ends up distracting people from the many other serious issues facing the American people and the rest of the human family today.
The fact that you Maia, Cilka and I all have different experiences of communism should tell us that it isn't necessarily the theory or ideology which is at fault, but the way it's implemented, and above all else the nature of the people implementing it.
Thanks.
