From the article:

The Committee of 300 governs the world via a three-city state empire, in which the cities pay no taxes and obey their own laws.

City of London Corporation – Financial power centre, established in 1067
District of Columbia – Military power centre, established in 1871
Vatican City – Religious power centre, sovereign in 1929

The Committee of 300 uses a network of roundtable groups, think tanks and secret societies which control the world’s largest financial institutions and governments. The most prominent of these groups include Chatham House, Bilderburg Group, Trilateral Commission, Council on Foreign Relations, Ditchley Foundation, Club of Rome, RAND Corporation, PNAC and of course Freemasonry.

You shouldn't be all that shocked, heyokah.

The tangled web all started with William of Orange in 1694 when 'King Billy' was instrumental in creating The Bank of England, the first of many privately owned banks designed to loan fiat currency to the government.

In Chapter 9, "Pyramid Power", of his book "....and the truth shall set you free", David Icke gives a very good explanation of where the Committee of 300 fits into the global elite power structure.

(Scroll-down to "The Global Elite")

Icke speaks often of the role of this group in much of his work, but this is a good starting point to source here for this discussion.

As one can see, the Committee of 300 is not the highest echelon of power, but they are very close to the top.

Thank you observer for your useful input.
David Icke mentioned this committee very briefly in 'The Biggest Secret' as well.

I would recommend the book "Secret Societies and their Power in the 20th Century" : by Jan van Helsing - 1995 .
In chapter 58 he gives a list of the committee 300 that existed in those days.

He says about the Committee of 300:

This was founded in 1729 by the Black Nobility through the BEIC (British East India Company), to deal with international banking and trade problems and to support the opium trade. It is run by the British Crown. It comprises the entire world banking system plus the most important representatives of Western nations. Through the Committee of 300 all banks are linked to Rothschild

Hi guys, this is my first every Avalon post.

I've just had a quick look at the list of 300. Some of the names I recognise, many I don't. However, I do see the name Mary Robinson - ex president of Ireland. IMHO she doesn't belong on that list. Mary was, and still is, an extraordinary advocate for human rights. She stood up to the Vatican as a young lawyer and denounced the hold they had on Ireland, something no man was willing or brave enough to do. She has tirelessly campaigned for womens' rights, for the rights of the underdog in society and she continues to do that now that she is back here working in Ireland. She has never been interested in money or power and I can not see what her name is doing on that list.

So - my point - I wonder how many more of the supposed 300 shouldn't be on the list?

This list could have been made to discredit a person that might be a danger to the ones at the top of the pyramid....

Just a thought.....

Princess Mabel may have worked for security service, claims book (http://www.dutchnews.nl/news/archives/2012/04/princess_mabel_may_have_worked.php)

Why am I not surprised...

Princess Mabel is may have been an agent or informant for the Dutch national security service BVD, according to the memoirs of a former BVD employer, quoted by HP/De Tijd.
