Thanks for this Noprophet, I think I saw the whole doc. a while back but that segment is a highlight and is really connecting with where I am at presently.
I did my dissertation on the shamanic qualities of Film and TV over 10 years ago and it connects with Alan Moore's beliefs.
I cannot believe that this thread has had so little feedback so far, Alan Moore has so much wisdom to share, I recommend if you have not already to pay attention to his Art (magic).

This guy is amazing! I'm not a comic book fan so I had no idea, but think about the impact on human consciousness he has had in his career. Wow.

Oh absolutely, I agree with Moore, he is an incredibly wise person, like a modern shaman. Magic is very much a part of our reality, but most magic that is being used, as he said, is being used to hypnotise the masses. I think it is used to take the power of magic away from people. Even though I deslike the few who seem to own this planet and most of the souls residing on it, I do have to say that they have accomplished that through mastering the art of magic. They are the ultimate magicians who present to the masses that which is eventually used to put them to sleep even further, making them more in need of entertainment, and of course, the magicians are always there to create more of the entertaining news. As Moore said, the magicians give the audience something for them to observe. If the humans knew what they wanted they would cease to become the audience and would become the magicians.
I have always been fascinated by architecture. I am not an architect but growing up in Europe and being surrounded by magical architecture everywhere it is really hard to ignore the beauty and magic of architecture, just take a trip to Wien or Praha and you will know what I mean. Having lived in Canada for 30 years I have always looked at the Canadian architecture as an eye sore. In my opinion, it should not even be called architecture. I have just recently looked on the internet at the architecture in United Arab Emirates. Wow, their architecture is full of magic. I dont want to sound like an imbecil describing the people living there, but when you take a look at the people, of the way they dress and act, you would assume that they wouldn't even be able to add up to ten, and especially they don't come across as being genius magicians at all. But, taking a closer look at their culture I think that they are amazing magicians, they truly have mastered the art of magic very well, and in a way they try to hide this knowledge of magic from the rest of the world by the way they represent themselves to the world.
It is surprising, Dorjezigzag, that this thread has had very little feedback, but then maybe people don't believe that they can create magic, and instead they opt out for the entertainment. People got lazy, and for them understanding magic would take too much of their time. I, personally, have been fascinated by magic my whole life. To me magic is the LIFE. However, mastering this magic hasn't been that easy, it takes a lot of work to fully understand it how it works, in a way, I find that there is an invisible barrier that prevents people, who seek magic, to fully be able to use its powers. Or maybe it's just me.
Noprophet, thanks for sharing this thread with us, I absolutely love people who take our reality to a different level, like Moore did with the art of his magical words.

Love Alan Moore. I was a comic/graphic novel geek for years. Still am! Another brilliant magician/writer is neil Gaiman and friend of Moore. Sorry I cant provide links but there's a great interview in the Guardian with Alan Moore called the Man Behind The Protest Mask. You can google it. Fantastic interview.

Jimmy's End was available but they pulled it. It's now going to be part of a larger film, The Show.
