Mar 22, 2012 - Le Temps Publishes Zubrin Call to Save the Mars Missions http://www.marssociety.org/home/press/tms-in-the-news
In a strong demonstration of European anger at the Obama administration's move to renege on America's commitment to the 2016 and 2018 Mars exploration missions, the leading French language newspaper Le Temps has published Mars Society President Dr. Robert Zubrin's call to reverse that outrageous decision.
The article, entitled "Barack Obama saborde le programme «Mars». Ne le laissons pas faire!" (Barack Obama is scuttling the Mars program. Don't let it happen!) can be read here.
An in-depth discussion and planning session for the fight to save the American and European Mars exploration programs will take place at the 15th Annual International Mars Society Convention, which will be held at the Pasadena Convention Center, August 3-5, 2012. Online registration is now open.

Applications
Space Applications
The goal of Education-SEEDS is to evaluate the growth of space-exposed seeds compared to earth-grown seeds. Another goal is the demonstration of plant growth in space. Food producing plants will be necessary when it is impossible to carry enough freeze dried food to last the entire voyage.

According to some sources, we "allegedly" went to Mars in 1956 (and the Germans, quite a bit earlier). (Interesting that the latest Drake interview also mentions that 1956 was the year "we" [covertly] became an interplanetary race with stargates & craft).
1956: Secret joint Soviet/American landing on the Moon & Mars. Russians & Americans secretly landed jointly on the Moon in the early 50's with their own saucers,...
This is touched on in Alternative 3 and numerous studies of German/Nazi Saucers in the 40's 50's now beginning to emerge in greater numbers.
A new movie "Iron Sky" is a tongue-and-cheek comedy look at this on a "mass awareness level" - apparently it is doing very well (refer to IMDB site). No release date yet for USA or other parts of the World - has only played in Europe so far.
The timing of this release is quite important, as it is the first time that the NAZI UFO situation has been bought into "the public arena" in such a way. Doing it as a "comedy" then, introduces the idea to the general public without too much "shock value". :)

there's plenty of whistle-blowing evidence that we have bases there -- maybe that's where some of these head honcho bankers & world 'leaders' are heading -- the ones who are resigning in droves -- waiting out the big Earth changes, soon to whammy us

A fascinating debate about terraforming Mars ... http://www.astrobio.net/debates/6/terraforming-debate
To terraform a planet is to change its environment, making it livable for humans and other Earth-based life forms. Most life on Earth could not survive on Mars today. Even the hardiest bacteria would soon shrivel and die from the high radiation exposure, extreme cold, or other martian hazard. If humans want to maintain a long-term presence on Mars, building cities and establishing civilizations, terraforming would be one way to make that possible.

The ETs won't allow any of the elites to escape to the moon or Mars. Those resignations are good news for us, not any sign of doom!
