Finger Length Helps Predict Test Exam Results, Homosexuality, Cancer, Musical Ability and Aggressive Personality -- Study Shows
Your finger length can predict how you will do on various tests in school. They can also tell if you are likely to be homosexual or straight, if you will likely get certain cancers, be a musician, writer or a scientist, or if you will have an aggresssive or passive personality. The two fingers that are important are the index finger -- the one you use to point to something -- and the ring finger.

If only it were so simple...
The predictive nature of finger length does not hold for me, sorry.
But, I do finger meditation (actually hand meditation) every day. It is one of my favorites. It really gets my energy flowing and helps balance my emotions (most of the time, that is). Refexology might have something to say about this study as well.

Thanks

According to this report I am hetrosexual. My boyfriend is going to be awfully upset. ;)

P.s. I've been "out" since I was a teenager, for 20+ years now.

I studied palmistry and finger length also can say a lot about an individual but it is taken into context with everything else about a hand. For example long smooth fingers are totally different to long nobbly fingers. :)
If you interested in palmistry check out The Benham Book of Palmistry. Its the best one out there in my opinion.

Cut your ring finger off?

How many people are staring at their fingers wondering if they never knew they had some great musical or artistic ability.

I do agree with the pre-natal testosterone posit though--to a certain degree. At least for gay men. . In the last forty years we've seen a huge explosion of 'gay people' coming out of the closet in the US (not sure culturally if this phenom existed in other countries) .

Someone could say, "well, its just been safer to come out of the closer in the last forty years " but it in the sixties and seventies it still really wasn't' safe to come out of the closet. So it wasn't like all these secret gay people just decided to come flying out at the same moment. That just seems too pat. President Clinton made it 'okay to be gay' but there was lot of gay folks milling around before that publicly.

This coincides with the use of soy products in the US which began in the 60's. Soy products have a lot of estrogen in them, and that replaces the testosterone markers in the fetus. In this instance, an otherwise physically male fetus would have their testosterone markers overode by estrogen, resulting in a male with female tendencies.

They may have very well been born heterosexual otherwise.. So clearly was a physical occurrence rather than anything else, our hormones do influence our sexuality to a certain extent, and that's what has happened.

The US being a self proclaimed Christian country has really been amiss in being so hateful towards the homosexual man, lesbians don't seem to get the sort of flack that gay men get. Lesbians are less threatening because the US has such strong patriachal undertones still in existence . A lesbian is no threat but homosexual man can't carry that patriachal torch....?

Chances are they can't serve to keep the feminine down, so what use are they to a patriachal society and indeed could serve to undermine a staunch patriachal regime.

But is the US's USE and practice of dumping soy, and promoting soy , and puttting soy in everything that has promoted this explosion of physical gay. The very folks frightened of the prospect of having a bunch of non patriachal men climbing all over the rigid cultural norms of the US if the very thing they created.

Hey folks,

This thing of trying to identify personality characteristics using body proportions isnīt good.

People tried to use it in the past, to identify potential criminals and it didnīt work. It just generated more prejudice.

By that time, all "selected" characteristics linking to criminals, ended up belonging to blacks, gypsies and other segregated races...Itīs not a conscience that all "scientists" who developed this theory were white people from wealthy families...

It was called Physiognomy, and it was more on the pseudo-science field:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physiognomy

Summarizing, scientists canīt take any logical conclusions out of it or make any statistically provable connections of body characteristics and personality.

Cheers,

Raf.

Excellent! I have the hand profile of a homosexual woman.

Top notch research. Really t o p n o t c h.

Edit: Actually, on closer inspection my left hand is a heterosexual man, with my right hand most closely resembling that of a homosexual woman. Excellent indeed.

Here is a link to quite an interesting story about a guy who had a stroke and went from being a straight rugby player to being gay after the stroke. Very interesting indeed.

What if someone is a transgender? My sister's husband is a transgender, and I always thought he was gay. Next time I see him I am going to look at his fingers.

Interesting article. It could go both ways. If he had a tendency towards homosexuality a trauma incident could ,not so much bring it forward, but crack down the inhibitors that disallowed that expression prior to the accident.

One notes the young man in the article previously exhibited a very 'macho' attitude , the caricature of the 'healthy' male. All with the lads, kicking arse in rugby, drinking beers, a manly man life style, even his older photo is expressive of a man trying to hard to be male. A man who is secure in his sexual orientation doesn't have to try to so hard to be a man.

'"Look at all these 'man' things I'm doing!"

Engaging in 'man-things' in a sort of desperate way so his sexual identity couldn't be challenged? You know anyone like that?

I know a lot of men posing as heterosexuals are gay. Homophobic men who profess to be repelled by 'gay' but for some reason are as negatively imposing on women too, having misogynist issues with women is a red flag for suppressed homosexual tendencies. They fear the fem side (so to speak) in gay men, in women and in themselves. They will abuse when they see their own suppressed expression in others. Overly macho men in particular who have resentment , although expressed differently, confess hatred towards gay men, but they don't behave much better with women either. Abusive towards gay men and abusive towards straight women, the only compatibility factor they seem to gravitate and admire is mean who are covert homosexuals, adopting the same 'tuff' and manly attitudes and behaviors to....what? Mask?

The thought surely haunts them, if one is that threatened by something they surely dwell on it, and they over play the 'manly-man' ticket not to convince others that are not gay but convince themselves.

I've seen this reversed in gay men too. Where they behave like women, in a artificial way to prove they are gay. I'm not talking about slightly feminine attributes, with so much masking going its hard to who is what and what is what, but behave like how they 'think' women behave. Healthy gay men behave like men. Their gay men, not pretend women.

This behavior is very artificial and I wonder sometimes if they are not forcing themselves to be gay because they feel ill equipped to be what they really are.

In my daughter's middle school, the gender roles were so confused and at that time of life so fraught, that it seemed like 3/4's of the school were bi-sexual.At least all these adolescents were confessing to be bi-sexual. Okay ...I'm thinking for this one horse little conservative town with such a small population out in here in the boonies that having most of the school population as 'bi-sexual' is unlikely.lol. Too much of a coincidence.

It was that time of life that is sexually confusing for very young adults, so in order to abate the sexual uncertainty, and just plain old uncertainty towards self, they elected to believe they were bi-sexual , slapped a label on it and carried on. They propped up this label with 'bi-sexual' clothing and behaviors. . I noticed a few years later as they grew more comfortable with their new roles as young men and women the population of bi-sexuals fell off dramatically. Now hardly anyone is...lol.

At that age they are expected to be interested in the opposite sex. What if they weren't yet. what if they preferred chumming with their grade school playmates which are roughly aligned by sex? Boys hung out with other boys, and girls with other girls but no one was thinking "Gee are those alignments because grade schoolers are gay."

No.

Now because they are confused, not sexually mature yet as they should be according to media...........They must be bi-sexual!! More a lack of sexual maturity rather than gay and bi sexual because media inundates them with the notion all they should be doing is obsessing about the opposite sex. If they aren't yet because they haven't reached that level of sexual maturity they'd explain it away as being gay or bi-sexual.

Confused gay and bisexual people can be as engaged in strange behaviors as suppressed homosexuals. A woman I used to work with came out of the closet and immediately launched a gay campaign, she began flirting in in-appropriate ways with her female co workers. She's squeal that were prejudiced , or sexually harassing her or imposing our hate on her when we corrected her behaviors. She said we hated gay people. One we are in a work place, its just not appropriate for ANYONE to behave the way she did. I told her if you were a straight man behaving that way, I would slap the piss out of you. You have no more right to try to fondle me as a gay woman as a straight male does. It is sexual harassment either way. This is where her 'right' to be gay got distorted.

Two weeks later she decides she's bi-sexual.

A month later she's engaged to some man.

Her sexual identity issues were more about self identity problems.
