As beautiful as Grandpa's Place is, it is and always will be (by decree of his son) Grandpa's Place. It has not been HOME to me. I will miss the animals, especially Jill, but there will be someone to replace me.

So, in the not to distant future, I will be putting all my stuff into storage and hitting the road. I'm going camping, a lot. I will be heading up the west coast and stopping at the Ranch at Mount Adams, then going up to Yelm to visit some friends up there. After that I will stop by Yellowstone and down to see family. I also plan on visiting newly discovered family in Oklahoma, then on down to Texas and New Mexico....after that I'm not sure, it's open but I will need to find a place to hole up in the winter.

Any suggestions????

Edit: I will be able to get a laptop where I can get internet access from anywhere. I need help on that. That way I can post anywhere I am and also post pictures on my ad free blog: http://margueritebee.blogspot.com/

I fully understand you on this, as the farm life has not been "home" to me as well, and my intent is to move forward from here to not-really-sure-yet as my new story :)

I have the oddest feeling that I need to get together with others like me. But then I think how hollywood huh? I also have to keep my grip and remember that I have been isolated out here for a long time. I got cabin fever bad.

Edit: It's time to cut lose and have some fun! Mount Shasta here I come.

Edit again: In this time line every one on this mountain is an alcholic and I just do not fit in.

Tell me about it! On my last flock I went the month of June and part of July without leaving the farm at all - and then had a week off before I had to get ready for the next batch. Now with this heat wave firmly in place I will be not able to leave until mid-Sept when they harvest. That is a LONG time. "I found the simple life aint so simple" LOL I felt like I was going to snap last batch - not looking forward to enduring this one.
