I can't believe there is no post pertaining to the full lunar eclipse! I live near the 45th paralell so no eclipse for me, not to mention it was incredibly cloudy, it just went full just a few minutes ago.

I'll continue to post nice photos I see being uploaded on DA as they come in, from the looks of it, it was pretty spectacular.

There was a couple of posts about the annular eclipse in the Venus Transit thread...

I just now viewed the whole thing with a bunch of ladies. It was awesome!

Thanks for posting those pics, Toad.

That series of pics from Japan -- they are upside down, as the moon moved across the sun, starting from the 5-O-clock position and exiting the 11-O-clock position ... it just now vacated that 11-O-clock position, so now the sun is back to being a full, normal sun.

When the annular eclipse was total, there was still light, but it was greatly subdued; the heat from the sun was a fraction of normal. It was an awesome experience.

Thats sweet my friend, I'm envious, I've only seen a few partial eclipses in my life having been more towards the equator at the time.

It was my first annular eclipse, ever -- or any solar eclipse, ever. I've had several lunar eclipses, but not annular, nor solar so far.

And what amazed me was that ALL the ladies were getting really spaced out and loopy, I mean downright spaced-out, so they all sat and meditated during the peak of the eclipse. Several of them felt strong vortex energies flowing into their heads clockwise from above and counter-clockwise from the Earth. Perhaps it was the vortex energies that was the cause of the group of ladies to get downright spaced out.

I had borrowed welding helmet from my mechanic friend who cared not a thing about the eclipse, so we had a lot of fun passing along the little 10-rated plate (welding viewplates are rated from #5 to #14) and we had only, like, 5 seconds each while the total was happening. The sun was a perfect golden ring -- just like how ajyana's pic of it (and thank you for posting that... I made it my wallpaper) -- for only a couple of minutes, so we were quickly passing it around looking through it.

And we all were joking, laughing about goddess energies, about the "Venus, Vagina, Victory" garden that I'm busy building for the ladies. It was fun to listen and watch the ladies joke about vaginas -- we all (myself included) like to use the term, "yoni" for vagina, anyways. It was a fun time for all of us.

I just say the eclipse half way through because the mountain blocked my view.... but it was worth it to see what I saw.

Beautiful!

Haha that sounds pretty darn fantastic, a welding helmet seems like a perfect thing for the occasion.

Thanks for posting all the pictures. I wish we could have seen it here, but alas no luck. It's going to be interesting to see what happens this week around the world.

I was there for it, even in the hospital.
