Youtube Censors Channeled Material

Don't panic, I'm not posting channeled material, just another interesting case of censorship from Youtube.

If channeled material is so cuckoo, then why bother to censor? Is there something someone isn't telling, or is this what is to come on a grander scale?

I normally don't pay any attention to channeled material at all. In this case, I'm dying to see it. I tried to download and play it, but the file won't play on my video player for some reason. Can anyone post this video, please? Thanks in advance.

UnrealDreams you might not have the required codec. you can get the Combined Community Codec Pack cccp for short. you can get that here: http://cccp-project.net/ that should get it working. If not then download VideoLAN play as well. you can get it here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ There both free and not that large. Oh! and download the FLV version of the video (if you haven't already). I use cccp and VideoLAN, the FLV version works fine for Me. I hope this helps.

Hey folks,

Well, youtube is a private company.

It has the right to choose to host or not host any video, using several kinds of criteria, without the need of giving any sort of explanation.

They receive millions of videos everyday and they just don´t have the time to individually explain and argue why they have decided not to publish some of them.

In case youtube refuses to publish a video, there are many other video uploading websites out there that could be used for this purpose.

People need to stop becoming so dependent on this sort of companies, in the first place.

Have you tried downloading the VLC player from VideoLAN? It plays a great array of file types and may be able to play the one you have. If you downloaded it from youtube, it's probably .flv (a flash video). VLC definitely plays that and so does RealPlayer.

Except as a large company it has public obligations even if those obligations aren't legally defined. If Youtube banned any video supporting the Democrats and only allowed videos supporting Republicans, there would be outcry in America. It is a private company but it doesn't have the right to shepherd opinion, especially ones it doesn't like.

I was under the impression that only obscene, or copyrighted material would be denied. The fact that they have denied this video, which is clearly neither obscene, nor copyrighted only makes me wonder......why??

And....how do we stop depending on Youtube when that is where all the videos are??
