I seen it twice. Its about the journey and not the destination. Which is the essence of love and continuous existence. To question and fight on. All that stuff..

That said, I liked it. David the Android and Dr. Shaw were the best characters IMO.

One scene was pretty terrifying. But in a natural sense. Its something that just reflects the nature or predators and pests. Its vivid and very realistic.

Good entertainment. Ridley Scott is going back to Blade Runner for a Sequel as well. :cool:

the first reply was one who was a big cheese film maker with fat cigar and a very long 20 page contract... flew my partner and I to his studio and we were pushed into signing this long contract without checking it out. But we read through it and saw many latin phrases and weird conditions that we insisted we checked out. They wanted copyright exclusivity and something in latin like the word infinitos which in context meant... he can launch it only when it is right ...even if it is decades away... or infinite time later. The exact wording slips my mind for now.
The second interest was from another film maker ... He had motives along the exact same line demanding exclusivity... this time the deal had a harder exclusivity approach and with the right to dramatise or alter the interpretation and very little and almost no remuneration. That was unacceptable.
the third offer had me on a line for a year... waiting for finance.
the last few years I have had at least 4 more film offers all in limbo because no scholar will comment officially.
Ancient aliens showed interest then broke contact and ran completely altered image presentations on the Mars Tikal Pleiades correlation with no references and literally mocked the credibility of it... then they ran the Freemason star map again dumping me out of the picture and altered interpretations.
there is also the ongoing situation of official denial with scholars too... the academic system has a strict official denial of alien material and many scholars have lost their positions due to the commenting on these topics. I'm concerned about something after seeing the star map at 2:44 that showed Rigel being at the "Heart of the Triple Golden Mean Spiral". What I got from just that one moment brought up some deep concerns: Isn't Rigel the location of the "Universities of Evolution" that Kettler talked about on his blog? What a funny thing to call an academy, don't you think? I think it was on an interview where he mentions that some of the soldiers that the ET's captured would be sent there. The impression I got was that sending them THERE would be some kind of punishment for them. Why is that? The worse thing I can think of is going against FREE WILL and wiping someone's memories.... and programming them with something else.

It may just be me, but I think Rigel might be alot more important in all of this than we realize....

I went to see Prometheus today. Great movie IMO and if anything it is more of a warning never to trust AI and that we mustn't be naive in what may be out there in our galaxy. The part where the signs/murals in past civilizations are shown is very short and takes up no more than a minute of film – give or take – and is of no real importance to the story IMO.

After seeing the Alex Jones clip I wonder about his sources in Hollywood, because I did not see what he describes. There was only one reference to the situation "back home" on earth where the oxygen level was down to three percent and one had to wear a suit in order to go outside.

Another message from the movie is that ego and greed are the reason they get into the mess they are in. Not a bad lesson to learn in my view. So all in all I don't see the Illuminati fingerprint other than the fact the story of "the engineers"/Annunaki may be a little step towards some sort of disclosure.

my own take on part of the story.

They could not understand why the engineers wanted to wipe out humans, as it became painfully obvious the planet they visited was a bioweapon facility. and from the records on the ship they were going to head to earth with that cargo, but they stuffed up, the weapon got released on the planet and it all went down the pooper.

now, the reason the engineers probably wanted to wipe out the human race..

at the very beginning of the movie it looks like they dropped someone off to the planet. He had nothing but the clothes on his back, and the equivilant of a suicide pill (looks like it was meant to be hella painfull as it destroyed him from the DNA out, carving him up in the process)

when he fell into the waterfall, the water seemed to dilute the stuff a little, allowing some DNA to survive. which ended up seeding the planet.

Why would they drop someone off on a planet with nothing but his clothes and a suicide pill? Perhaps this person did something wrong in the eyes of their people, and that was suitable punishment. live alone on a planet with nothing, millions of miles away from home? Diddnt take him long to pull the trigger eh?

Roll back the clock 2000 years, thats around the time of christ, no?

Perhaps the engineers picked up on what happend and realised this guy accidently seeded sentient life on this planet. They go to check it out. They see we're troubled and are perhaps sympathetic and send an emmissary to help see if we can be something constructive (jesus?) We kill him, brutally, and they take that as sealing our fate. they begin making a weapon to wipeout all human life on the planet.

now, what i dont understand is, when things went to poopoo on the bioweapon moon, why diddnt the home planet pickup on this and rescue the survivor? Unless an infected ship fled the planet and took the plague back to their home world.

For such an advanced race, you'd have thunk they'd have been more carefull with that kinda thing.

So... does anyone know if this movie plays to Fear, or Love? From what I've taken from the OP videos, is that this film plays on Fear, and Evil Aliens.

I Hope I'm wrong... but, knowing 'hollywood', I suspect that all this will be played into a fear-mongering display of catastrophically destructive low-technology and evil human-munching aliens.

If so, then I'll stay away. The development of this information, relative to ancient sites, is a testimony to humanities greater quest for knowledge and creative understanding of our past, and in this I am most grateful. I don't need to see it turned into a fear fest.

That said, I liked it. David the Android and Dr. Shaw were the best characters IMO.

One scene was pretty terrifying. But in a natural sense. Its something that just reflects the nature or predators and pests. Its vivid and very realistic.

Good entertainment. Ridley Scott is going back to Blade Runner for a Sequel as well. :cool:

KInd of weird - his FB page was not available - but now is back.

This last couple of months Facebook have been giving Wayne a hard time. They closed his first page giving no reason, he then created a second page while he fought with FB to retrieve his first page. He had to produce passport ID Etc. They reopened his first page again, but now they want to close both pages.

Not meaning to derail the thread! :) But...

I went to see the movie last night. A dreadful disappointment, with poor performances, poor script, no character development, logic holes all over, two-dimensional CGI, and no philosophical exploration worth the name. No young Peter Weyland on TED 2023, either: that turned out to be a smart movie marketing ploy, and did not feature. That was well-done, and was what had sold me on the film.

The basic premise was inspired and potentially important (Alex Jones got it totally right). But really, that was all that was inspired about it. The movie 100% failed to deliver. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time seeing it. What a shame.

The movie I wanted to see was one in which determined, able and intelligent representatives of a fledgling-space-age human race travel to face their godlike genetic-engineering creators, who are now having grave doubts about the outcome of their experiment and are wondering whether to end it.

(Note that this might actually be happening. Some godlike ET observers might be patiently waiting for us to destroy ourselves -- without any need for their intervention. Then the experiment can be rebooted...)

I went and seen this a few nights ago also, found it disappointing and almost walked out about a 3rd way through it......found it to be just another science fiction B movie out of Hollywood as usual, the message was the same ole same ole with a few new twists.....

I agree; the watchers or observers are gathered in the bleachers watching the human episode unfold, seeing what we will next. Why would they want to change the script or interfere in such an interesting and suspenseful unfolding evolutionary/cosmic event?


Added: Personally I feel if any alien species directly interferes with the human episode it won't be for the benefit of humanity.....history kind of hints that if they have actually visited us before they weren't too kind to us.

Many esoteric beliefs systems dictate that our ancestors came from the Pliedes. Masons, Mormons and many others also believe this. The star chart at Hoover Dam was dedicated by President F.D.R. and shows the Pliedes, specifically the star Halcyon or Alcyon as being the center of the galaxy. It also shows how to use the pole star to accurately orient oneself. This is a belief that goes way back. They are just sensationalizing it in the movie. It does make for a sensible part of the plot based on ancient and esoteric beliefs.

PS: Exomatrix did credit Wayne's videos. It does kind of look like some of this idea for the movie came from Wayne Herschel. I have corresponded with Wayne in the past because our fields of study are similar. He sees this pattern repeated in several arrangements of monuments on the earth. The Pliedes mean something more to the ancients than we know.

PSS: I think the music from this movie has to be the most irritating worst soundtrack of the century. To me this is enough to pan the movie. I'll probably go see it anyway but the music is just disturbing in and of itself.

In the movie his name is 'David' (Michael Fassbender) who stays awake at the pilot control to monitor their voyage. Later in the movie the android carries out his own sinister agenda, which hint at the dangers of trans-humanism, not least the abominations and genetic mutations that were caused by 'creator gods' possibly from the supposed time of Atlantis to the diabolical experiments inflicted on people by the Nazi's.
Interestingly the Android David reminded me of the similar themes in the British comedy Red Dwarf, written by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor. The android in Red Dwarf is called Kryten, along with the last known human alive, Arnold Rimmer and a hologram of Lister's dead bunkmate who Kryten continues to attend to. The episodes were hilarious if you’ve not seen them, especially in the episode called appropriately DNA, when Kryten is briefly transformed into a human being.

The name "Kryten" seemed familiar somehow even if I haven´t seen Red dwarf. Being a big fan of the movie Lawrence of Arabia, on whose leading part David was based, I suddenly realized that it sounded like "Dryden", as in Mr Dryden, the person who engages T. E. Lawrence in his task. And what is one of Mr Drydens most famous quotes? You guessed it - "Big things have small beginnings."
Everything is going around in circles... Perhaps this was obvious to many of you...

I saw "Prometheus" this week and even if I don´t like the "Alien" series, I thought this was OK. Michael Fassbender was simply stunning as David, and a eerily look-a-like to Peter O´Toole...

Totally off topic, but I think I am the only person on this planet (and probably beyond) who is still fighting for the use of the spelling premiss to indicate when we are talking about logic (i.e. a statement which is assumed to be true and thus from which a conclusion can be drawn) and thus to be distinguished from premises (which indicates some sort of building).

I have not seen the movie, yet, but greatly value the critical response from those who have on this forum. A case of Hollywood throwing together some bankable movie stars and special effects and hoping it will be a blockbuster? I love SciFi (way behind the times but watching Stargate Atlantis, after having watched all episodes of Stargate Universe) but am always so disappointed with the cop-outs (or limits of imagination). Apollo 18 was one such disappointment for me - superb in every respect (I actually did scream twice in the movie, and loved the documentary concept), but then the 'attacking rocks' reduced a superb movie to B grade dumbed-down entertaintment.

Loved the premise, enjoyed the movie but it didn't give enough attention to really building the charector of the human precursors on the planet - who they were and why they wanted to kill us. All we knew was that they hated us with a passion and would stop at nothing to kill us.

Secondly, I thought the movie was slow and long, 2 hours and 4 minutes. However, I want to see it again....the more I reflected on the movie and the more research I did on Ridley Scott's original ideas which were dropped from the script helped me better understand the backstory. A couple of things struck me and I won't elaborate for "spoiler" reasons....but one was why Shaw asked for "caesarian" instead of "abortion" in the medi-doc ( I am not pro-abortion but if I had an alien thingy in my womb I don't think I'd be asking for a Caesarian and I've had 3 c-sections in real life)....and the second was the decapitated alien had been dead about 2000 years. Of course my mind immediately went to "why2000".....after reading Ridley Scott's comments on several sites I see the strong religious overtones to the movie. I loved the Alien franchise....well....for the most part....and like how Prometheus fits into that....and explains more of the Alien series than it does itself as a standalone franchise. I haven't read the Esquire interview. I will try to catch up with the whole thing, as I know what the director wants is not always what the director gets, in terms of what we see in the theaters.

I don't expect that much from Hollywood - so I was not terribly let down in any way. I appreciate Bill Ryan's personal review -- yes, it probably could have been so much more. I could have endured a longer version with more detail. I really don't need the 30 minutes of trailers and adverts before the feature!
