View Full Version : Concussion activates a man's dormant talent...

Hi all,

There was a very interesting segment in the news this morning and I wanted to share it with you. This is about a man gaining musical skills after suffering a concussion. Usually, such an injury causes severe brain damage but in this case his brain circuitry was rewired (Acquired Savant Syndrome). I'm wondering if anyone here can explain this phenomenon and perhaps offer some insight on how we all can activate dormant talents without the need of a head injury.

Dr.Oliver Sacks (Neurologist) has wrote in detail about this, in his book, "Musicophila".

I suffered a pretty bad concussion, and as a result, became much more psychic.
Also developed a desire to paint, though I can't say I developed a great talent for it.
I think meditation could certainly be helpful in activating dormant talents.
Re that, intent is key, as in all things.
There are supplements that can be taken which increase intelligence, such as blue green algae, etc., and I would think those would help too.
Corson would probably be a good person to ask about that.
Also, I would think past life regressions to a lifetime where you were engaged in utilizing the talent you want to develop could be helpful.

Thanks, you maybe right about the supplements depending on ones chemistry, however I don't take meds or supplements. I agree that meditation can be used to unlock certain abilities...but I was mainly wondering if there was a way to rewire ones brain dramatically without the use of trauma (and frequency machines). I'm also wondering if this could be a result of a brain tumor... where both sides of the brain are linked by a growth? The fact that he is now doing something complex and new without lessons is causing me to ponder the great potential of our mind. There has to be some sought of mechanism (be it verbal,mental/physical/chemical) within our psyche hindering us from accessing certain abilities. This is interesting.

That reminds me of a friend's husband who suffered a bad concussion. He was a motocross riding, zany, Art Director, very creative and successful. He had only Grade 10 but he had worked his way up. When he recovered from the fall he quit that and went to university to take archeology, then his Masters then applied for his PhD.

We lost track of him after that but I remember our guides said that the blow to the head had shattered some of his auric field. At the time they recommended colour therapy. My friend was not interested in our idea.

When he came out of hospital they said he settled himself back into his old patterns from past lives where he had been very academic and mental-body-focussed. Apparently this was not a good thing as he had incarnated this time with the purpose of balancing all that out. Now he was likely to overbalance for many more lifetimes in the intellectual.

Isn't it always said the 'where attention goes, energy flows'? Maybe to access skils in a healthy organic and balanced way, the key is focussed intention then taking practical steps. Sure some people can luck in , but it is just that - a lucky accident.

Still, mind control is a subject being studied by the ptb. So I'm sure they'd be able to say 'vee have vays'.:faint2:

Indeed...Wow, even more to ponder on, thanks for this, truly. It must be a certain area being impacted. I only say this because professional boxers don't seem to be getting any wiser from hits to the head....at least not from my observation.

Corson, our resident genius, would probably be a good person to ask about this whole subject.

I suffered a pretty bad concussion when I was 4 (fell out of my sisters bunk bed onto my head). So after, I told my mother that I wanted a piano. I started piano lessons when I was 5. I couldn't read music (still can't) but, I can listen to a song then play it. I think that's called playing by ear (?). I've also taught myself to play violin and flute. I've always wanted to play harp and I'm sure that will come along too.
