A friend alerted me to a rather extreme page Steve Quayle has up on his site today:
http://www.stevequayle.com/
...warning that 'unofficially' 'the Euro is Dead' and ending with 'God help us all'.
I can find little to substantiate the anonymous writer he quote's allegations and dire warning that world currency collapse is now imminent (he urges us to go get our money out of the banks)--unless it would be that which has been alluded to by numerous other predictors, earlier (Like Clif High, etc.).
Although Quayle is not posting his own position on this (I guess, like Kerry, letting us be the judge), I'm surprised to not see more about it, given that he has a large fan base.
If folks take it seriously, I would think it would trigger a bank run...

I think that's the general idea... to force a bank run. Interesting that the author was anonymous. They keep talking it up ... and advising us to buy silver. I wonder if they're financed by sellers of precious metals? I think Alex Jones is. Clif High is saying that buying silver alone, if enough of us do it, will force tptb up against the proverbial wall. However, I looked at the silver prices, and there's nothing much happening there.
I do agree though, that unless Merkel and Co do something drastic in the next couple of days, the Euro will be dead. It's right on the edge now.

That was my first reaction, that it was a manipulation to create a stampede. Quayle is active in the precious metals market. But Quayle, though typically incendiary, is pretty well informed, so I was puzzled by this. It's just too obvious for it to be a stimulation to trigger precious metals buying. I wondered if he was hijacked...

Drake keeps saying to buy silver too. I'm beginning to wonder if this whole thing isn't a ruse to get us to all buy their silver and to push up its price.

they keep saying the dollar is dead too but its made quite a comeback this year on all fronts, not just against the euro... seems big games are being played and i find it unlikely that we'll really know what happened till after..

Just took a look at Quayle's site. On his home page, he's advertising products for long-term food storage and he's all about precious metals. He is one of the guys that would stand to profit from any kind of panic over bank runs.

mental world we're living in... i mean, say you are a prepper and have food supplies etc, if you live in a city with thousands of other unprepared, desperate and starving people are going to notice that you're not, its quite a scary thought route to go down....

Agreed! I've been thinking along the exact same lines myself, having the most excellent health food shop just minutes from my door. But what good is it me stocking up with a few bags of brown rice and lentils when the rest of the town will be starving?

No need to stock up on food for me when I have a Mcdonalds, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins and a 7 Eleven very close to my home. Just Think, I 'll have an overabundance of Whoppers and Big Macs, Jelly donuts, 31 flavors of ice cream and Super Duper Big Gulps. Skys the Limit. Its good to live in the city. : ) Brrrrrrrrrrp
