Signs of spiritual progress.
Faith, Compassion and Intelligence.
Intelligence is of the inner world, of the mind.
It is knowing what and how Faith and Compassion work.
Compassion is knowing that all sentient beings have the potential of enlightenment and to respect their relative aspect, because step by step they too, are uncovering their layers.
Faith is trusting one's inner essence together with a deep appreciation for the blessings from timeless enlightened beings.
Some of this may not be easy to accept, especially Faith, which is not the same as belief.
This might just be a intuitive matter. As I'm writing this now, I am waiting for blessings to know what to say on this matter!
Faith seems to come from a combination of things: study, reflection, practice and above all interaction with others. This interaction with others tests our study, reflection and practice. It all adds up to experience, and allowing experience just to be, without modifying anything.
This is where trust or Faith comes in.
Sometimes we may get an abstract feeling.
There are no words, but there is an inspiration present. This seems to come from scanning the present moment. Thoughts arise because of something someone said, or something just read:
a spontaneous intuitive inspiration happens. This is something I have learnt to trust and have Faith in.
What some may call the Heart, I would call Faith, Compassion and Intelligence.
Intelligence is very important when it comes to talking about the Heart.
This is because it must have Clarity, in order to have the right Compassion to benefit others.
There can be nothing vague or personal about it, because that could end up in confusion for all parties.
The sign of spiritual progress is an increase in Faith, Compassion and Intelligence.
