the servers aren't mirrored?
if they are planning on using stereo for emergency grid shutdown, don't you think having a continuous connection might be important?

if it turns out the power will be off for a while, pull your garbage disposal out it is an electric generator if you add fan blades...
it's enough to power the fridge, TV, laptop and modem...
pool the neighbors batteries and hook them up together to handle more KW hours

This is confusing -how do you plug the fridge into it? How do you wire in fan blades and batteries? You know computers need perfectly stable power or they'll burn out - how do you get it from a garbage disposal? Thanks

well better to find those answers now while your computer is up and running...
Oldwind goes through the different stages of putting one together on the link...
windmills are varied output so need to dump straight to a battery with an inverter to go back to AC...
you can put a pole up with a string of wind turbines
garbage disposals are much cheaper than smart drives from washing machines...
get them at recycle centers for a couple bucks to play with...
or just buy a few PMA wind generators to keep on hand for the day the homeowner association doesn't mind you creating power...
