I got this in an email and the main message sounded worth sharing with all of my friends in Avalon.
You don't have to forward this back to me, though.... :becky:
We read all the jokes and forward the good ones but I just wonder who will pass this one on.
How about you sending it on and back to me if you got the guts to do so. I am and just wonder how many I will get back? AND very happy to be of the 1%.
Someone
please tell me what the HELL's wrong with
all the
people that run this country!!!!!!
Both
Republicans
&
Democrats
We're
"broke" & can't help our own Seniors,
Veterans, Orphans, Homeless
etc.,???????????
In the
last years we have provided aid to Haiti ,
Chile , Pakistan , Lybia , Egypt and Turkey , AndJapan
Literally,
BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!
Our retired seniors
living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid
nor do they get any breaks while our government
and religious organizations pour
Hundreds of Billions
of $$$$$$'s and Tons of Food
to Foreign Countries!
We have
hundreds of adoptable
children who are shoved aside to make
room for the adoption of foreign
orphans.
AMERICA: a
country where we have homeless without
shelter, children going to bed hungry,
elderly going without 'needed' meds, and mentally ill without treatment
-etc,etc.
YET.......................
They
have a 'Benefit'
for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies.
Imagine if
the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other
countries.
Sad isn't it?
99% of people won't have the
guts to forward this.
I'm one of the 1% --

the congress says one thing , and their actions say another... they lie to get elected then help everyone but our own people. madness. 500 million to an energy company that didn't produce anything and the tax payer paid for it. time to eliminate foreign aid completely. No more money to private corporations, time to take care of home.

I had a really kool history teacher back in highschool. His name was Mr. Welch. He loved talking about the Civil War. If you asked him a question about it, He would spend the entire hour talking about it. Thus no homework was assigned lol Anyway He stated to the class on many occassions that another war between the states could be fought again. I always thought he was full of Bologna on that point, Until now.

The whole Left vs Right Wing thing is just a big distraction, they are both wings of the same beast/dragon. I wish we could flush them all and start over with a different system that is not completely capitalistic and not socialist but something new and community oriented. The Republic that our forefathers had originally was nice but build on racism and at the detriment of many of my Native American ancestors.
So, what are we to do? As long as we are focused on Bush or Obama ideology then we will always be at odds with each other and distracted from the extremely small percentage of humans that make us their idiotic slaves who have no clue that they are slaves to a financial and tyrannical secret infrastructure. We are close to getting the rest of the West to WAKE UP to the crimes of the Elite SO... time to start another war in the middle east based on B.S. right?
And the cycle goes unbroken.

And you wonder why they are called CONgress....
I've passed this one around more than a few times...
545 vs 300,000,000
EVERY CITIZEN NEEDS TO READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THIS JOURNALIST HAS SCRIPTED IN THIS MESSAGE. READ IT AND THEN REALLY THINK ABOUT OUR CURRENT POLITICAL DEBACLE.
Charley Reese has been a journalist for 49 years.
545 PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered; if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.
If the Army &Marines are in IRAQ , It's because they want them in IRAQ
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people and they alone, are responsible.
They and they alone, have the power.
They and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

I've already made copies to go, Belle. Thanks!
When you see it all laid out like that in black and white, it looks pathetic that we allowed our govt to pass all this.
Was no one alert? Obviously not. Where were our watchdogs? God, where was I?

The truly sad part of this Maia is that this has been going on for decades and, while there are some people who attempt to bring this truth to their family's and friend's and public's attention, it appears few people truly give a damn as long as it isn't affecting them (too much) personally. And this, I believe, is well demonstrated election after election as the masses stay firmly entrenched in their political ideology of choice, blame the previous administration for all the country's ills, and vote for yet another Republican or Democrat as if either is going to fix or change a damn thing. It makes one wonder who the true idiots in this country are.

Break the chains and Just e-mail NO TO WAR IN IRAN!
signed
American People.
Unless they declare a draft and put their own children's heads on the chopping block, there won't be a call for war. They have also tested the "pre-emptive strike initiative during Cheney's army" and unless the American PUBLIC and WORLD as a Whole speak out via E-mail a FIRM "NO" they will continue to piss on OUR heads and lives to line their pockets in war.

We could remove every single congressperson, all 535 of them, and the president and his cabinet... and start over, electing all new officials.
...and absolutely nothing would change.
Why? Because they are the symptoms, not the disease.
The disease is the current electoral system. It is run by two political parties that are in-turn financially controlled and orchestrated by the Financial Elite (international bankers, corporations, and a few rich and influential individuals, "plutocrats.") In addition to controlling both political parties, the Financial Elite own all major mass media.
We could remove every single congressperson, all 535 of them, and the president and his cabinet... and start over, electing all new officials. Just as is done right now, all of the candidates for high office would be vetted and approved and financially sponsored and media hyped/supported by the Financial Elite, to make sure every Democrat and Republican on the ballot for Congress and the White House will fulfill the agenda of the Financial Elite. (Note that most candidates are probably not overtly "bribed", but rather selected because they already believe in corporatocracy and plutocracy. They don't need to be bribed. Plus, they know they will leave office and never need to work another day in their lives.)
That is it. Now you know the secret.
That is the current electoral paradigm, unveiled.
Nothing will change - not the war-for-profit paradigm, not the financial and economic control of the world by the banking cartel, not Big Energy, not Big Pharma, not Big Ag, not education... nothing - until the electoral paradigm is changed.
Now you know why 3 years of research and writing boils down to the only first step that can possibly change anything: changing the electoral paradigm. Taking the electoral control away from the Financial Elite. Maybe "The Reset Button" is not the answer, but at least, it does identify the real problem.

The article written by Charlie Reese has been used for years to awaken those who do not understand the truth that no matter what excuse their elected official may make, what happens is ultimately their choice and responsibility...that the Democrat puppet and the Republican puppet are held by the same person/people...and to put pressure on those in office by bringing it to light.
I've said it before, we have the best government money can buy.
