Although I have neither the time, money nor ability to move this forward, it occurs to me that it would be a great idea for a movie to show the occurence and aftermath of a Carrington Event happening in present time.

Obviously the consequences for our electrically dependent society would be devastating. So, it would be a disaster movie, except without the asteroids, pole shifts or Bruce Willis (OK, maybe he could have a cameo for old time's sake).

But more importantly it would raise awareness of what is a very real (although hopefully unlikely) event and encourage everyone to have a least a few weeks food and water stored up.

Thanks, that is a neat sync. Never heard of that series before. Seems slightly different in terms of causation of the event, but I guess that depends on the ultimate reveal. Anyway, thanks for the response.

When they opened a new 'prepper' store in a nearby town that book One Second After was front and center with many copies for sale.
