Hi, I figured it was a good time to bring up this old story from WW1, Christmas In The Trenches. Please find seven minutes out of your day and listen to this song, written in commemoration of the event back in 1914.

I think it says a lot about how our true nature really is to get along with one another. It's incalculable to me the layers upon layers of deception it takes to make people hate, and even murder one another because of our differences. Yet in comparison, look how a small and simple act of humanity can dissipate that gross fog very quickly. Who really has the power here?

I steadfastly maintain that the right person, in the right place, at the right time, and doing exactly the right thing, can instantly alter the course of human events. Talk about unforeseen timelines.(LOL) Who WAS the young German soldier having the crazy idea to offer a Merry Christmas to the "enemy"?

Did he plan his whole life just for that moment in time? Maybe he just 'saw" it in a way, that he intended to do something good with his young life amidst all the carnage, before he got his head blown off. Then one day the inspiration hit, he rolled with it, and look what happened. Hell, 98 years later there's an inspired middle age guy in his "enemy's" country, writing about it on something called the internet.

Maybe you, the person reading this right now, has a general "seeing" like a young German soldier did long ago...If you do?... Then I most strongly remind you to be watchful for this moment yourself, and if/when it comes, let fly what you will know you are truly here to do. Even if it's just to sing a song, or say Merry Christmas to your "enemy".

Cheers You Guys,
Fred

Geez Fred! That story always has me in tears!! That underneath we are all the same, with hopes and fears and families!! This story was depicted again, a bit differently, in the movie "War Horse". It's a fabulous movie to watch and I think it would be a reasonably correct depiction of WW1.

Who made us think we were all so different? Or make us consider anyone OUR enemies? We could be heading for a time when all wars were illegal....but first, the troublemakers behind it all have to go....
