The Toshiba Vision screen in New York City's Times Square will become the largest East Coast location for the public to see live mission coverage of Curiosity as it lands on the Martian surface at 1:31 a.m. EDT August 6.

I wonder if the show will be made by Hollywood studios, just like some of the so called moon landings in the last century.

I met a guy, a PhD student, who works on the study of plants in order to recognize very early on if a plant is striving or not. They started by using some ultraviolet lights to see the energy of the plant and trace how healthy it is and then were working on other things.

the project was the first man mission on mars, because the astronauts will have to carry their food with them and be able to grow them on site.

So it seems that not all missions are studio made ones....

And if it's not faked will they ever show images of the face or pyramids etc :)
