(16) He will be going into the hospital for surgery on August 17th. at Schneiders Childrens Hospital here in Long Island, New York. He has undergone aprox. 6 surgerys since birth and this one is most critical. Type of condition is AnoRectal Malformation. This hospital specializes in this type condition which was pioneered by Dr. Alberto Pena. Please keep Alex in your prayers. I thought i would get this out ASAP. Thank You.

Update today: Alex 's Surgery was a success. I spoke with his father a few minutes ago. He sends a great amount of gratitude and love to you beautiful people here on Avalon. The surgery was almost 10 hrs. And went very well. He is now recovering and healing. Alex's father will be sending an email soon to me so i can post it on this Thread.

Whitefeather, this is good news ! 10 hours - waw, a long procedure. however if problems CAN be corrected, than it does'nt really matter how long it takes.

My name is LeRoy, on August 17th My son Alex went through an 8 1/2 hour surgical procedure. Because of the extent of the operation, we thought his recovery would be at least one week of hospital care. The surgery was on Friday, on Tuesday afternoon, he was on his way home. I cannot tell you all, how much your prayers and thoughts have helped me through this, and also helped Alex and the surgeon who's hands we were all in. From myself and my Family, we thank you for your powerful thoughts and prayers.
