LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) -- A fire broke out at a Chevron Corp. CVX +0.17% refinery in Richmond, Calif., on Monday, according to local news reports. The blaze has reportedly prompted a "shelter in place" warning due to hazardous chemicals believed to be emanating from the fire, with the San Jose Mercury News saying two large plumes of smoke were visible from as far away as the Bay Bridge. Reports didn't say what caused the fire or whether there were any casualties. Ironically, the fire came one day ahead of the opening of an exhibit at the Richmond Museum of History featuring the refinery on its 110th anniversary... story link (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/fire-strikes-chevron-california-refinery-reports-2012-08-06?link=MW_latest_news)

or usually that is how they cash in on their insurance policy, 110 years old, maybe it needed some badly need retooling? time to 'dip' into the 'insurance' fund... don't forget what were dealing with here...

stirring Iran and getting threats didn't even cause a ripple...

think the 7 sisters sat around and played a hand of poker to see who's refinery they would torch?

JP Morgan was the dealer...

Isn't it great they ran around taking pictures for the museum before it was destroyed...

makes it a little hard to head for the hills once the reality of what's going on hits the mainstream if there's a fuel shortage and it's out of reach of the average joe even if they can get it

meanwhile the tanks are on the move

wonder what's happening at anaheim

Perhaps Lucky Larry Silverstein could of made the purchase of that Chevron facility prior to that explosion, took out a massive insurance policy and came out on top much like WTC 7. Money goes to money. Hey you never know!
