Are butterflies the only living things around Fukushima? What about having studies on human babies born after the event? This kind of studies make me upset, why scientists spend money and resources looking at the wrong direction? Oh, yes.... is all about distraction!

actually Cloud, because insects have much faster reproductive cycles than mammals, these kinds of studies pave the way for understanding the effects on us. don't get too cynical!

In time the effects of the radiation will be apparent. It will start to effect other wildlife, water, rain fall, and of course some of the population.
