View Full Version : Strange phone glitches

I've had lot's of little weird phone glitches, but yesterday I experienced the strangest one yet. I was talking to my friend in Belgium and all the sudden it started to break up and the timing seemed to be out as we kept speaking over eachother. She kept laughing and saying "I don't know what is happening". It was quite frustrating trying to converse...then After a minute or two I realized that she was no longer on the phone and what I was hearing was a recording. It was as though someone had taken two samples from our conversation (the laugh and 'I don't know what is happening and put them on a looop with a pause between them). It was very freaky. I hung up and called her back. She told me on her end the phone just cut out. After a few minutes it happened again. This time I listened carefullly, there were about 5 random sound bites from the last 5 minutes of our conversation that kept reapeating with a pause between each.
The whole thing was very strange and I almost felt like I was in the twilight zone. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, or other strange phone things, or has an explanation.

yes, my wife had a missed call from her father, she called him and he claimed he never made the call, she calls me I can't hear her, I call her back and things are normal . this happens twice a week. she had a record of the missed call in her phone history. my phone will turn off and back on at random, it's only six months old. something is messing with cell towers/phones for sure.

Well, this is my second attempt to answer you, and it was weird. So, here is what I just said:
This sounds like some sort of glitch in software like echelon which monitors emails, only this one monitors cell phones or all phones. It seems to me that somehow there was a glitch, a recording played back of part of the convo and you heard it. Expect all communications to be monitored including face to face if you are someone they have taken a personal interest. Anything written down online is obviously recorded, sorted, catagorized, and determined if it's of interest based on key word algorithyms. At least that's my limited take on it. Welcome to the world wide filter.
edit: oh, and the sun activity can make problems with all of our electronic stuff.

Hi there enfoldedblue, were either of you using a VoIp phone?? ( voice over IP ) ? As a tech, I know that when the QOS ( quality of service) is not set properly or if it fails, that lines that carry voice trafic along with data ( internet) traffic, will sometimes experience issues whereby the voice calls become scrambled or out of Sequence. Instead of hearing lets say...the phrase "I am over here" , you might end up hearing " I here over am" or something like that. The words come across out of order. This does sometimes happen when the QOS of the circuit fails. The QOS of voice traffic should take priority over data traffic. Circuits carrying a combination of voice and data are set up this way but have been known to fail sometimes.
I am just throwing that out there for what it is worth, and am not saying that was what the cause of your experience was. Who knows ? :)

My grandmother died 2 years ago at the age of 90 (I held her hand as she passed in the hospital room). 2 days after she died, I was standing alone in her cottage where she had lived along for 30 years (she was very self sustaining). I was standing there by myself...taking in all the memories from years past...and having a wee bit of a cry. All of a sudden her phone rings....but not a full ring....just a half ring and that's it. Not 1 second after that one of the light bulbs in her chandalear burst. I picked up the phone but there was no one there. At first I was stunned...but then I took in the moment and realized she will always be in my heart.

edit: oh, and the sun activity can make problems with all of our electronic stuff. I agree with you on this. I truly believe everything is monitored and your right if "they" take an interest in you whatever you say or write on the net is noted for sure. I know the Avalon forum plus many others are monitored......well,I believe they are. I don't have a land line phone any longer and I only use a cell phone when necessary. To me the bottom line is this---If you are "awake" TPTB/were know......

Hi Ontarioguy, both my friend and I were using normal landlines phones. Can what you are describing happen with them as well?
Thanks

Everything is done digitally for the larger part (these modern days), once it gets past your line to your house, so all kinds of things can happen.
BUT, and a big but, the echelon program is going to be targeting every member of this forum. Of that there is no doubt. I've heard some pretty freaky echelon type screw ups on my lines.
Some time ago, for me.... it was so bad... that there was the odd day that it seemed as if I had to be sure I had my cell phone with me, as I'd get a physical tail if I forgot the cell at home.
Only a few on this forum get to look forward to such valued company. :p
