Hi friends,
A Danish scientist has published a study arguing that a common treatment for severe sepsis with the drug hydroxyethyl starch (HES) can induce kidney failure and haemorrhages, which in the worst case can kill the patient.
Well, big pharma company didn't like the scientist study and it threatens to sue.
While they sort this thing out, be aware of the drug.
The company, Fresenius Kabi, is threatening to lodge a compensation claim worth millions after Professor Anders Perner published a study arguing that a common treatment for severe sepsis with the drug hydroxyethyl starch (HES) can induce kidney failure and haemorrhages, which in the worst case can kill the patient.
Earlier this month, ScienceNordic reported on this study, which was published in The New England Journal of Medicine.

Thanks Seku- Once again big pharma chooses profit over safety no matter what it has to do.. This drug is frquently used as a blood expander in cases of blood loss. There are other alternatives that are much safer and much cheaper. As a nurse I have frequently seen these expensive drugs with severe side effects chosen over older, cheaper and safer drugs that will accomplish the same goal...In some cases doctors do receive nice "incentives" for prescribing these drugs. Pharmaceutical Reps can be very convincing....pammy

Most pharmceuticals either block, hinder, or change natural bodily processes. Is this something you want happening in your body? Mother Nature seems to make few mistakes, so my money is on her. Convention abhores the truth about our magnificent physical bodies, that they are designed to heal themselves easily. Not much money to be made from plucking a dandelion root from the ground and making tea, so the truth is like krytonite to the billionaire drug dealers.

Severe sepsis is not a condition you will find on the home front, almost always in a hospital or nursing home after other treatments have failed.
No dandilion root to be found under these circumstances.
What would be required is to pull your loved one out of the facility for they most likely will not be able to fend for themselves in the political battle to leave. If you are in the hospital and this is happening to you or a loved one it is advantageous to know your meds but alas, who does? Even doctors and nurses dont know the best options all the time. Some of the older meds not commonly used will not be known by new doctors.
It is also advantageous to know, long before it would ever be needed, where you would go and who could give you the type of life saving therapy you requrie. Its not a good time to be thumbing through the phone book.
Four options that can work for severe sepsis are:
IV vitamin C (and possibly Lipsomal oral c)
Ultraviolet Blood Irriadiation
Ozonation of the Blood
Colloidal Silver in huge amounts - by IV if you can find it
Only vitamin c will be available in a hospital after you have a huge fight to get it.

Them suing is just a legal maneuver to cover their arses... it would be 'consistent' with their 'intent' to 'defend' what they 'believe' to be a 'lifesaving' drug by doing the 'right thing' And of course when the science which will now have to be done by independent third party's under public scrutiny finds out the good doctor was correct, they can say they were only acting in 'good faith' with the 'best intentions' based on their 'understanding' at the time...
(gag and puke) but that is how one should interpret a corporation acting in commerce... your dealing with a slithery slimy money hungry predator with multiple lawyer's heads growing out the side...

I'm not surprised with all the money that the pharmaceutical companies spend on research, they will try to protect their investment. In some cases they provide medication which treats the symptoms, since it is more profitable to do this than provide a cure. Also the side effects some treatments have are far greater than what the medications are trying to treat, so more medications are need to treat the side effects, and the cycle continues. Further other countries India for example can make the medications for a fraction of the price but big pharmaceutical companies will not allow this, because it effects their market, and wide profit margins.
