Isaac Newton...

Sir Isaac Newton PRS MP (25 December 1642 – 20 March 1727 [NS: 4 January 1643 – 31 March 1727])[1] was an English physicist, mathematician, astronomer, natural philosopher, alchemist and theologian, who has been "considered by many to be the greatest and most influential scientist who ever lived."[7] His monograph Philosophić Naturalis Principia Mathematica, published in 1687, lays the foundations for most of classical mechanics. In this work, Newton described universal gravitation and the three laws of motion, which dominated the scientific view of the physical universe for the next three centuries. Newton showed that the motions of objects on Earth and of celestial bodies are governed by the same set of natural laws, by demonstrating the consistency between Kepler's laws of planetary motion and his theory of gravitation, thus removing the last doubts about heliocentrism and advancing the Scientific Revolution.

The Principia is generally considered to be one of the most important scientific books ever written, due, independently, to the specific physical laws the work successfully described, and for the style of the work, which assisted in setting standards for scientific publication down to the present time. Newton built the first practical reflecting telescope[8] and developed a theory of colour based on the observation that a prism decomposes white light into the many colours that form the visible spectrum. He also formulated an empirical law of cooling and studied the speed of sound. In mathematics, Newton shares the credit with Gottfried Leibniz for the development of differential and integral calculus. He also demonstrated the generalised binomial theorem, developed Newton's method for approximating the roots of a function, and contributed to the study of power series. Newton's work on infinite series was inspired by Simon Stevin's decimals.[9]

now some say Ron Paul is being HAARPed into silence, maybe they will delay it until the moon sized object passes... ;)

if there really were any religious republicans, they might be taking this as a sign, not to forget about the poor....

SAN DIEGO, August 25, 2012 – It’s been four years since a major hurricane made landfall in the United States: Hurricane Ike, which hit southern Florida in 2008.
It’s been far longer since a hurricane hit the city of Tampa, Florida. It was 1921, and Warren G. Harding was president...

The official Rules of the Republican Party state the following under Rule Number 37 of the Proceedings of the National Convention: “If the Republican National Committee determines that the national convention cannot convene or is unable to conduct its business either within the convention site or within the convention city, then and only then, the roll call for nomination for President of the United States and Vice President of the United States shall be allowed to be conducted according to procedures authorized by the Republican National Committee.
Former California State Republican Party chairman Ron Nehring participated in the 2008 convention. He says this statute is purposely vague to allow the Republican National Committee the flexibility to respond to all contingencies. “The rules do not prescribe the exact manner in which it (a nomination) will take place,” said Nehring, to allow maximum flexibility in decision-making.
Nehring says the nomination would still take place, although it would be slightly more complicated. The pomp and circumstances and TV exposure would give way to paperwork, and lots of it.

Hey guys, we are all battening down the hatches here in south Florida. Hopefully we want have to use any or all of those emergency supplies. It is kind of humorous to me that the convention is receiving emotional input from Mother Nature. I have to wonder if HAARP is involved.

I seen this thread,, and had to reply.... I will pray for you all in the path of Isaac..... Please pray for us here in NC. Isaac will come and go!!! While we have Hurricane Perdue, and she's been hovering over this state for 3+yrs now!!! It's a constant sucking us dry;
Every penny we get here, is being sucked-up by the "we need bad change again" , only in the name of keeping the mendacious safe.
( case in point)... Perdue sought a $760millon sales tax increase.
Why? she believed a $760millon tax hike was necessary to fund a $1oomillon more in K-12 education went unexplained... A much-needed-infusion of $123millon was added to the Perdue Rainy Day fund, which had ran dry recently.
The (brand new) "Performance Pay"...system was de-funded, Still millons of hard-earned tax dollars continued to be earmarked for non-essentil leisure activities.. Now we know why the ("We Need Bad Change!") is being played out in NC,, """"They pay for nothing!! """!! ...........
""" May God be with you all in Florida,,, stay safe! """ It should be gone by tue or wed!
While we are still being sucked dry by our 3year hurricane.

Yes! definitely unexpected hit for east coast...the warnings were geared more towards the west side of fl, but i saw how big the storm was and new it would wrap its liquid wind around to the other side of the state! Have pics of the water flooding the street..but was having tech problems with the image itself (not the forum upload) and couldnt post.

Suffice to say..its winding down..the right side of this huge storm seems to have latched itself to the east coast of fl and dumped major amounts of water..is still expected to hang around until tomorrow...so who knows could have alot more rain and thunder shows. The radar was different from usual...usually theres a spiral/some circular motion with tropical storms and hurricanes...it was weird to see a straight line on the Doppler radar going up and down the state, hanging out for the longest...

So now lets hope it breaks up, weakens on its way onward

Currently still a Tropical Storm not a CAT2 ...

Likely a CAT1 at most in 12 hours
