The point of this thread is attachment - attachment to ideas and things that have only a seeming reality.

I'm with you about the attachments, the non-existence... all of it - except - the "realization" bit because there's an implication here that realization is the goal and I have to say that is simply a step on the way to availability for relationship of a greater magnitude. But the attachments, yes.

I'm reminded of an analogy that helps me: trying to envision my work in the world as if I'm a surgeon working on a patient, trying to save their life. If I'm not detached from the outcome I am not doing my best work. That's not to say that I don't care about the outcome. It's my job to achieve the best I can. But I can't perform a proper surgery if I'm getting emotional about this person and their difficulties, nor can I be overly concerned with the argument I just had with the wife, etc. So there's a focus there, as well, that is crucial.

to be human is to enjoy your attachments. without attachment there would be no need for reincarnation because we'd all be perfectly happy being at one with the creator. there would be just one perspective, that of the creator, and not an infinite number of different ones, and different experiences.

what we call "creation" only works because attachment exists. animals are attached to their food sources, their parents or offspring (to a degree), and humans (and ETs/EDs) are attached to whatever you can imagine.

that said, i believe the pleiadians and everything else do exist, but only in the mind of the creator (and thus our minds), just like us. there's nothing "outside" because we encompass everything. the truth is always in there. all that really "exists" is energy and perspective through which everything else is created.

Attachments create suffering, because they have to be maintained and defended, and therefore create aggression. One can enjoy everything and still not be attached- that is real love. We are all free to choose whatever works for us, and if it does not satisfy, we are free to change.

An "easy" way of non attachment is to be in the present moment.
Attachment needs past and future.--- so does the ego.
Experiences can be fully enjoyed afresh in the moment without the filter of ego.
Everything brand new as there is no comparison with past, or hope for a better future experience.
Simple but not easy.
Nothing comes without endeavour/practise.
Things have to be released, unlearned. Belief systems, automatic unconscious habit etc need to be brought into awareness.
