A while ago I watched a show on Animal Planet Entitled "Mermaids A Body Found" It was a little over an hour long. It has some interesting views on human evolution. I believe it is available on youtube. Has anyone else seen this?

yes, but don't know what to make of it. A splinter group of atlantians did mess around with genetics of animals and humans and it caused a big war.

Yes, I watched it but thought it was a mock-umentary, as in a documentury style movie. Apart from the unknown sonar sound they recorded the rest was made up and played by actors.

Interesting theories though.

Except for the speculative evolution bits, they had me, and felt foolish when I found out it was a mocumentary.

Aside from ratings, why did they make it?

You know I saw this mermaid mocumentary on SyFy the other night and couldn't help but thinK. Maybe the people of the scientific community finally realized that they can't just let us know the truth. That they have to present it in a fictional version to hide what is really the truth. That way they leave the wiggle room to not cause too much backlash for exposing the actual events. For instance Bill Woodward and his whole Irag disclosure, and maybe so many sci-fi movies that border on just a little too much truth.

I thought there was way too much scientifically valid info about whale calls, and sonar data for it to be just fiction. I think that we are going to see a lot more of this. The movie industry has been doing this for years, but in a more storytelling way. Info will be coming but it has to give just enough of a fantasy possibility so that it does not call too much attention to the truth. Those that Know will Know!!

Yes, I watched the video and I am sure they used actors.
After reading the Editor’s Note on the program at the beginning, they were not very clear on which parts were fiction and which were based on real events and scientific theory. I assume how they thought the Mermaid’s life styles in the water is fiction. What about the Navy in Washington State and the authorizes in South Africa? Was that fiction also? That could show how the “higher ups” would cover up such finds.

Maybe they thought the public would start believing more in the ancient drawings in caves and on rocks from around the world.

just watched Pirates of the Caribbean 4 On Stranger Tides and i wondering is there actually Mermaid? i do think Mermaid exist out there on other planet somewhere but it could give me a chill if Mermaid already live on planet earth with us.

upon hearing about Middle earth already give me chill but Mermaid is incredible..assume this is the truth and have hidden, how people will handle this whole thing? we sharing the planet with Mermaid and Middle Earth People?
