View Full Version : Seriously??? (Video defaming Prophet Muhammad)

Here's the film that supposedly is responsible for setting the Muslim world on fire. I thought the acting might just be up to snuff if compared to the old The Three Stooges show acting, but the script falls well short.

My wife and I rolled our eyes to to around the seven minute mark, stopped it when we just couldn't take it any more, and then finally muddled through the rest. I'm seriously beginning to wonder now, if TPTB are purposely and rapidly dumbing down their propaganda, just to see if anyone notices.

Sorry if this has been posted already, I haven't noticed it.

Added: this is just the first in a series! (IMO)

From the Telegraph:

Video defaming Prophet Mohammed is a con job that pits fundamentalist Christians and Muslims against freedom (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/us-election/9545212/Video-defaming-Prophet-Mohammed-is-a-con-job-that-pits-fundamentalist-Christians-and-Muslims-against-freedom.html)

Initially, it was widely reported that the offending film, Innocence of Muslims was the "$5 million" production of one "Sam Bacile" an "Israeli Jew" with some "100 Jewish donors". Cursory investigation proved that it was the media and the Arab street that were being taken for imbeciles.

It now seems that "Sam Bacile" is a California-based, Egyptian-born, Coptic-Christian con-man named Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, who had previously been convicted on bank-fraud charges and charged with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

A non-profit company, Media for Christ, based in Duarte, California, took out the permits to produce the film. Its owner is Joseph Nassralla Abdelmasih, who I saw speak at a rally against the so-called Ground Zero mosque. His film used notoriously anti-Islamist activists like Steve Klein as consultants and the Koran-burning Florida pastor, Terry Jones, was enlisted to promote it.

The actors in the film were apparently unaware of it's ideological intent, and the amateurish overdubs add credibility to their claims.

The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg summed up the whole affair this way: "A group of Christians, smearing Muslims, libels Jews." It was murderously effective.

The lighting was a mess, the score abominable, and the acting was let us just say sub-par. A big thumbs down on the Siskel and Ebert scale.

I seriously do not believe that this film is what is behind all of the embassy attacks. I really can't believe the lamestream media is pushing that this video is the cause of all of this. This just shows you either how stupid they think we are or how stupid we actually are.

All's it would take is one agent provocateur to (A): Post this 'video' on Twitter (wait a few days) then (B): Suggest an embassy attack also on Twitter. Ah the joys of Social Media. We are seeing the results of this now. The whole time the attacks would have been planned anyway. This is the worst smokescreen I have seen in a long long time. Really there is no way the average Muslim would not see this and just think it was a bunch of b.s. as well. Someone was supplying these people with the excuse they needed. Who stands to gain from U.S./Muslim relations being strained?

Thank you for posting this Fred.

I was wondering what the fuss was about - a poorly executed satire shot on a slim shoestring budget.

Divide and conquer is working just as their dumb down has and we recognize it and just go with the flow. WE are all responsible for the world we have. World peace will only come from respect and sharing from individuals not governments/religions.

This is the infamous video? :biggrin1:

"This is a grotesque kind of comedy-mockery" coulnd't be written over that more clearly. I found it quite amusing actually
The joke there is on the people who made it and on the people who take it seriously, but that's it.

The video as well as the outcry are manufactured diversions. Sorry, I don't wanna be flippant in face of a serious issue. But in my eyes, this video is everything but serious and it could hardly be more obvious.

Helge Schneider couldn't have done a better job on that video :)

I think that most of us know that this is not about a poorly put together 14 minute video that was not seen by many people. This is the narrative that the media has seized upon for their own self serving interest.

While we have not seen the truth emerge yet as to why these people were manipulated into rioting there certainly are some major contributing factors at play here. It is one thing to go into someone else's country and murder another person in cold blood but it is yet another thing to celebrate that death. I was appalled (but I understood) peoples need to party in the street immediately following the death of bin Laden. Then this attitude was taken into the political arena which certainly made the moderates in the Middle East upset and inflamed the extremist.

When the Democratic National Convention repeated the phrase, 'bin Laden is dead but Detroit is alive' it sent the issue over the edge. This simple phrase was said many times at the convention and made the news highlights all over the country for days. To equate the death of a human with Americans ability to drive cars seems so extraordinarily surreal and out of touch with life principles that it was painful to listen to.

Giving the death of bin Laden a worldwide platform for celebrations shows a horrible misjudgment of cultural differences and a true lack of understanding on how the people of the Middle East think. After all, love him or hate him, bin Laden was one of their own.

I believe, if the truth ever surfaces here we will find out there are other things at play but politicians should not intentionally or unintentionally light the fuse that sets off the powder kegs. We need people that have the ability to think about their words before they speak and understand the cultural differences/problems that will arise as a result of those words.

Holy Guacamole!!!!! It seems ridiculous tht this "play" (almost like watching a childs play) would enrage such violence??? At times, the actors voices were dubbed in with another voice (seeming like the script was altered) It seemed to be an obvious "dumbed down" version wasnt it..laughable...next time perhaps they should use sock puppets!!

....makes one wonder how it went down in the middle east--if something else is at play here?.... if not, men are such easy pawns!!! Disheartening tht we are so easily manipulated into harming each other

On a lighter note nice to see others in the middle east who did not agree with the violent tactics protesting.

The circus is becoming more blatant isnt it?

The film is just a catalyst, the violence is probably due to more deeply seated reasons than this You Tube video. I bet most of them haven't even seen the clip.

I agree. I think this may be the start of forced racial conflict that builds and ends with something big.

This is what i think abut all this:

Somebody in New Zealand insulted Thor. Quick, burn the Peruvian embassy and behead the Italian ambassador

We are all (Muslims, Christians, Jews, and all others) being challenged to know and understand beyond our limiting beliefs.

Interestingly, where I live there is a significantly large Muslim population, but no protests or attacks on Americans. No outrage about the movie. But then, 8 (yes, that is I think more than double the number of Americans killed in the Libya attack) of our country are killed in an attack related to this violence sparked off by this appalingly stupid and disrespectful and ignorant movie (those killed worked for a company that was subcontracted to support the USA war effort in Afghanisatan), and finally one Iman from a local mosque speaks out ... to condemn the violence, and then there is an editorial (at last) that has its main theme that the religion of Islam is greater than this violence and will endure in promoting charity and peace (yes, that is a part of Islam).

Personally, I think that most local Muslims do not understand Arabic and thus the movie just did not register with them, and for those with whom it did, well they have other more pressing problems to deal with, such as poverty, gangsterism, drugs, the proliferation of illegal weapons , the accumulation of wealth and power ... and, of course, Imans all practise poligamy, so all those wives to keep happy and at peace in one household!

Not all Muslims are what you are shown by the MSM in the West, and there seems to be so much misunderstanding and disrespect for Islam (find a common ground instead of trying to convert and liberate the whole world to be exactly as you are?). Why do you keep doing what they find so offensive and then hide behind the doctrine of free speech? Is this ignorance or deliberate provocation and disrespect?

I don't know if this will serve as an enlightening example, but ... last year a national supermarket chain in my country had a brilliant idea to extend the market for hot cross buns (which they sell for at leat 3 months in a year in varieties, such as extra spicy, low GI, medium spicy, and so on), a delicacy that has Christian significance/meaning. They launched Halaal hot cross buns! A small group of fundamental Christians did backward flips in outrage. We cannnot eat hot cross buns that have been blessed by an Iman! Firstly, no Iman has the time to bless each and every hot cross bun that this supermarket produces, but hey how cool is it to eat the most blessed hot cross buns in the world?! (Let's bring in the Rabbi so it can be kosher as well!) Secondly, locally, Muslims share Christmas lunch with Christian friends, and Christian friends share Eid celebrations with Muslims, and so on, and so on (really cool if you have lots of friends from ALL possible groups, including Wicca, indeginous, Jewish, and so on).

Perhaps not all Westerners are as ignorant and disrespectful as those who make these movies and draw the cartoons, and so on. But, I really hope that you on PA will realise that there are many Muslims who are not aware of the movie, or are outside of the military colonisation of the USA(backed up by NATO countries), who maybe see the movie but see it as no threat to their religion or spirituality or way of life.

Perhaps what we should be considering is where are the Muslim communities who have not been protesting and why? Perhaps the protests have only been in areas where there has been huge interference from Western powers? Or maybe this situation is challenging all those who live in blind accepting ignorance, resorting to mindless murder and destruction to make their beliefs heard, to rise beyond those limiting beliefs (Muslim, Christian, Jewish, and every one else)?

I've been waiting for these type of headlines to hit the US MSM.....(bet Israel appreciates the Washington times)

Officials: Iranian Quds Force poses threat to U.S. homeland
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/sep/19/officials-iranian-quds-force-threat-us-homeland/

First they entice and or create some situation to where "radicals" go wild (and kill Americans) show the West how "radicals" are going wild everywhere (against Americans) and then pull the Iranian threat into the mix directly connecting Iran to the "radicals" or label them as just another branch of "radicals" and say they are a threat to our homeland......hmmm???? I'd say the time is about ripe for something to happen so it can be blamed on the "radicals", most likely the Iranian "radicals".

It's not just of conditioning and "mind control", it's "mind-boggling".

Yeah, besides the same old fear mongering, it's constantly being referred to as the "homeland" now too. Why, what kind of red blooded patriot wouldn't want to start polishing their favorite pair of jackboots, to defend the "homeland" by killing those crazy, blood thirsty brown people over there?:frusty: (LOL)

I'm reading the last week or so like a bad script to a really sinister movie.....many mistakes and not well executed, but all in all it's being played out regardless. I just don't see the American people backing another war without something really bad happening......yikes! Seems it's building up to a really bad scene coming up in this really bad script in this sinister movie we all are watching....

PS: I really hate worrying about this crap, but I can't help seeing what I'm seeing unfold....

Not only that, they had a paramilitary group called Blackwater, (also the name of the first American paramilitary group) (Paramilitary groups are traditionally used internally, to attack the citizenry of one's own country). Then the Nazis came over to the US, created the CIA at the behest of the US Govt., and followed their old script, with our government's enthusiastic approval. Our government, our democracy, our republic, was hijacked after WWII, for the sake of power. Our government wanted power, and they got corrupted by it.

Yeah, there seems to be quite a few things that are repeating themselves pertaining to this "history"

You do not understand the mass and the others. Mass do not care of the artistic view of the product.

When I heard that some american banks give a shot gun as a promotion , I thought it was joke until heard and confirmed from other sources.
If some one says "Christ was bastard his mother made it up story" this sentence doesn't fit any free speech concept. The Outcome overrides the intend.
Price Harry was attacked because of he was wearing swastika for costume party. Where is the logic to criticize a costume party?

Do not look logic for masses.
